New owners I think, best fish and chips I've had in ages, really excellent. Gave us salt and vinegar in sachets, lots of serviettes? Great friendly service.
We live about half an hour away and stopped at The Plaice to grab a quick meal before heading off to Widemouth. We'd never been before. A really slick system - take a ticket, give your order and watch as it's made ready. I had a chicken tikka fold & my chap had nuggets & a small chips. My fold was full of salad & freshly-made coleslaw, rammed with hot spicy chicken. The nuggets 6 we're enormous and the small chips portion bigger than the amount you usually get as large elsewhere. It was all delish & served by polite, friendly & super-efficient staff. The menu range is huge, to fit all tastes. Thanks Chrissy & team for a great first visit. We'll be back. Sorry no pics...we ate everything before we remembered!
Most disappointing meal I have ever had, also your online prices do not match the prices in the shop or for ordering online, waiting too long for fish and chips to be honest. Food dry and tasteless, would recommend going somewhere else.nWould be nice if some of the staff knew what they were doing.
Gluten free menu offered Fridays/Saturdays/Sunday. Battered sausage and chips was really good. The cod looked great too. Minor hiccup with order, but was sorted swiftly. Lovely staff.
Guy on the counter with glasses was rude and needs to work on social skills. Portion sizes are cleary for children! £9 for a kebab which came in a box the size you would get for a pickled egg
