Coming to the Lime Tree is a real treat, the cuisine is not something my wife and I normally go for and it was really nice to step out of our comfort zone and try new, exciting dishes. After going for what we'd call 'safe' starters food we've had before- calamari and halloumi we explored the diverse menu which contains firm favourites like pasta, pizza and burgers if you're not feeling brave! my wife opted for the Karinyaki aubergine stuffed with minced lamb and onions topped with cheese and served with esme and tzatsiki while I opted for Pollo Vito chicken in a slightly spicy sauce topped with aubergines, courgettes and a large slab of goat's cheese. Both were amazing! Cooked to perfection and with a wonderful mix of tastes that all combined into a real find, and one we'll both be having again. It felt almost rude not to try the dessert so I opted for the Baklava pistachios in filo pastry with honey and ice cream while my wife opted for a pornstar martini. The portion was just right, not too heavy and with is being quite a sweet dish it was just the right size to fill the gap without being sickly. With 4 drinks between us and all this food, the bill coming in at under £85 was also a real treat, the food is superb and I can't wait to go back and try even more of the Turkish cuisine.
Brilliant food. Lots of choices. Great offer of 2 courses for £20. I had meatballs and calzone. Sister had chicken with rice.Food: 5/5
First time here and so impressed. Lovely food, ambience and service. Very patient staff too, when we realised we were the only customers left and the staff were discretely cleaning up around us, but giving us no pressure to leave! Will definitely be back again soon…Food: 5/5
First time here for my daughters birthday on a Monday night. The food was lovely. Service was great! Good choice on the menu. Value for money as well. We all got different things and we all enjoyed our food.Food: 5/5
One restaurant was close nearby, and recommended to come here. Turkish restaurant serving Pizza, pasta and grill dishes. Plus own Turkish dishes. We both had 2 courses priced at 19.95 plus £2 extra outside this menu. I had smoked salmon and stuffed aubergine with rice, salsa Tzatziki with small square bread. Being Turkish food I had to try. My partner had mussels in tomato sauce, grilled lamb chops, with brandy sauce found quite strong in flavour. We had Balloon bread was fresh. Service was adequate from the kitchen and waiter service with drinks Prices and food portions size were good without adding service charge.
Compared to what it used to be it’s absolutely awful. The portion you get on some meals isn’t anywhere near what it used to be, and the quality of the food had dropped drastically. Looks can be deceiving The lamb chops are fatty and chewy, athe meatballs come in a lava sauce so hot it kills the taste of anything else you want to eat and everything comes with a salad and sauces you don’t really need to bump up the price. I won’t be going again! The deterioration in the quality of food in less than a year is astonishing and I can see why other people in Morley are going elsewhere! Very poor
Friendly and professional staff, good selection of starters and mains with a seperate brunch menu. I didn't look at the dessert menu. Stuffed vine leaves were tasty and served with lemon, dips and salad and the penne aribiatta was nicely spicey without being overpowering. Well presented food.Food: 5/5
We visited the Lime Tree for the first occasion over the weekend. There was certainly a broad range on the menu with a strong Turkish influence with moderate Italian/Greek dishes. The pictures are the Mixed Hot Meze, Moroccan Lamb and the Special Mixed Grill. The portion sizes were very significant which is possibly one point to bear in mind, before you order. Overall the meat was cooked to a relatively high standard, a good ambience and the staff seemed friendly. Therefore, I would certainly recommend if you have a big appetite. On a final point, it maybe beneficial to have the complete drinks menu available on the website in addition to the Main menu.
A nice place to eat as it's nicely laid out. The food though was hit and miss! One meal was nice and as described on the menu. The other was not! Eggs Sorrento. Crab cakeS with two poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce. All the other similar meals came with/on a muffin. This one didn't mention muffin which was why it was chosen. The meal arrived with two poached eggs on a muffin and a cheap, overcooked crab cake. A single crab cake when the menu stated CAKES! My wife asked where the other crab cake was and was told it only came with one. When asked why their menu said cakes, plural, she was told, that's how it comes! Then to cap it all there was a hair in it. When my wife called the waiter and told him, his response was "can you point out the hair please"! He then took the meal away and that was it. Nobody came to apologize, or offer any replacement, nothing. The meal wasn't charged when we paid the bill and we left. I doubt we'll be going back. I've only given three stars for atmosphere because it wasn't very busy while we were there. It was getting busier when we were leaving though.
Food was amazing! Staff are so friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was very cosy. Vegetarian options: Not just vegetarian but all were clearly labelled. Staff accommodated to me needing gluten free Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating
