We loved the Lime Tree Hotel! It was comfortable, charming, and everyone was so nice who worked there! We had a delicious breakfast at the buttery every day. Make sure to make a reservation! Tara, Eli and everyone at the front desk went above and beyond! We highly recommend!Rooms: 5/5
The good: very comfortable beds and clean rooms. Excellent coffee in restaurant downstairs but seating sparse and need to reserve in advance to be able to eat at restaurant. The less good: no elevator and steep stairs.. remote location from main sites of London and no.space to lounge privately and work outside of the bedroom. When we arrived at 9pm on one of the nights we were greeted by a locked front door and asked if we were guests when we rang the bell..followed by a request to state our name and room number. Less than hospitable. Would not return.
We have stayed many times at this hotel! It was very good and the rooms had high standard, but a lot has also changed. We miss the old breakfast. Today it is not included and is totally different. The former charm of the hotel is gone unfortunately. Rooms: Cozy and clean.
Rooms tiny, but the best location. Service pretty good and food is excellent. Prices at this hotel fluctuate greatly, so careful to book when it is not so expensive.Rooms: 3/5
Very disappointing experience. Location ok but a bit noisy. Hotel refused to return any of the four day booking charge I had made when family tragedy forced change of plans after a few hours in the hotel. So only stayed one night which cost us approximately $1,500 breakfast not included!. And then they overcharged us for a further $700 which they did eventually return. Rooms especially bathrooms are small. Showers only no tubs, for those who might like to soak. Cannot recommend. Avoid.
Lovely decor, excellent service, warm hospitality, and fabulous location in the charming neighborhood of Belgravia. The rooms and common areas were impeccable when it comes to cleanliness and condition. The Triple room was the perfect amount of space for my husband, myself, and our 16-year-old daughter for a 6-night stay. We slept well every night, and that's almost unheard of for us for a vacation. We also had a Generous Twin booked during part of the trip when friends joined us, and we were told that room was very comfortable as well. There happened to be a portable air conditioning unit placed in the Triple, but I don't think they have enough for all guest rooms, and I'm not sure how it is determined where they are used i.e., location within the building, length of stay, etc. The Generous Twin was fine with just a fan. We stayed in late June and early July, and London temps were mild at that time. That said, if it's important to have air conditioning, guests should pay several hundred more dollars per night and stay in those types of accommodations rather than knowingly booking a hotel without A/C, then submitting a poor review. The owners are very upfront about the lack of A/C on their website, and they seemed like great people when we interacted with them before and during our stay. The front desk and housekeeping staff members were second to none. Every time we walked into the front room with a question or to obtain or return our key, they turned away from the computer and sat straight up or at times even stood up to signal that they were giving us their undivided attention. They acknowledged us with warmth and an "at your service" tone as if it was their privilege to have us as guests. The only exception was if they were on an incoming phone call and we had to wait briefly, which is understandable and was rare. We also got lucky in that there was a gentleman the owner, I believe who carried our luggage upstairs. We went out for a cup of coffee since we arrived before check-in time, and when we returned, the luggage was already in our room. There are quite a few places that are very walkable, but we also took the Tube a lot, and the Lime Tree is a convenient walk to Victoria Station. We felt safe coming and going even later in the evening. All in all, this was a great trip in large part due to the Lime Tree Hotel being our cozy place to return to at night. We would stay here again without hesitation.
This hotel is such a chill spot! It’s like walking into a little garden oasis – super cute and peaceful. And it's in a fab location too. Big shout out to Tara at the front desk. She's a total superstar – all smiles, super chill and helpful
Amazing place to be in London. Perfect location. Nice Room and very friendly staff. There is also a Restaurant The Buttery for breakfast or brunch with tasty food and coffee.Rooms: 5/5
Beautiful part of London, beautifully decorated, clean hotel and rooms, very friendly staff who went out of their way to make my stay as a solo traveler easier and more comfortable - The only reason I am not giving a full 5 stars is because it is quite a challenge without a lift to get suitcases up and down the narrow stairs especially because depending on the time of the day, you may have to do it yourself and the lack of air conditioning makes cooling the small rooms down almost impossible.
Had a meeting here for a few hours, so I was unable to comment on staying in the hotel. It's a lovely hotel and I like the decor, the meeting room we had was on the ground/basement. Private and quiet down there, so we were not interrupted and could get on with training. They set the room out with notepad/ pencils and some glasses of water. Towards the end, a staff member asked if we wanted hot beverages, which were lovely. Great service from staff we met.
