Picturesque setting next to the river and our room was lovely. Patio doors opening out onto the river and saw boats going past in the morning. Lovely pub with traditional food and pleasant staff. Great views all round and good choice of drinks at the bar. Ample parking, would recommendRooms: 5/5
Beautiful scenery, its right by a river so you can have a cup of tea on the balcony watching the swans and ducks. Staff are polite and very kind. If you don't have a car it will be difficult to get to because its all country roads around it. Taxis are very expensive too so be careful of that. Breakfast was cereal, toast, yogurt, fruit and croissants. Shower was a bit weak but does the job. Room was a good size and was nice and clean. It was quiet and relaxing and overall just a fantastic place to stay
Great hotel, with fantastic views from the balcony, rooms could do with modernising. But that said rooms are clean and warm. Could also do with doing breakfast. But overall what we paid for the room was great value for money.Rooms: 4/5
Good pub with nice river views and food, also has a pool table.
The location is excellent with a view over the river and we were fortunate to get a room that overlooked the river with a shared balcony with a table and chairs. Service was quite friendly. The rest was unremarkable. Average pub food, average drinks, average breakfast, average pricing.
Nice pub along the river. Played a couple games of pool in the back room. Worth a visit
Very nice room. Be ideal if staying for more than one night as a nice kitchen annex. Bed comfy but air conditioning unit was a bit loud outside. Odd to have a bedside lamp by the bed but no socket to plug it into lol. Sofa in the main room was a bit uncomfortable Lovely location by the river. Staff very helpful both at check in and during breakfast which was very tasty. Used a buyagift voucher for the room but starting to realise these are not value for money. Much better to book with the hotel direct.
Perfect spot in the late spring, summer, early autumn for a relaxing drink on the river. The bird life is fantastic here. Decided to go today boxing day due to all of the other pubs and eateries we know only offering a 2 or 3 course option. We didn't want that after stuffing ourselves yesterday. Seems the lenchford are the only guys who could fulfill what we wanted locally. A very nice carvery, really well priced. You get to serve yourself with the veg and gravy so you get to choose how loaded or unloaded your plate is. Staff are always really nice and professional. It's a great traditional pub. No fuss. Just a good homemade dinner in a friendly atmosphere. The roast parsnips were knockout. Possibly the best I've ever eaten. And a bit of a laugh with the ladies who cooked it. Made for a great lunch. Washed down with a couple of well cared for lagers and then the wife drove home very hard to fault this place.
Fabulous place, staff, food and service, all great. Right on the River Severn with lovely views. Off the beaten track, so need a car unless you're happy to walk, did see a bus stop near by. Will definitely make an effort to visit again. Highly recommend.
Lovely carvery with meats cooked to perfection and large choice of seasonal fresh veg. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and accomadating, nothing was too much trouble for them. A bonus for us that it is dog friendly. We will definitely be returning soon!
