We have used this place many times over the years and were shocked at how run down it has become. One room had a door which wouldn't lock, the other had bedding which smelt of stale sweat. A shame - this used to be a lovely and quaint hotel.
Came here for a works Christmas party. Although the food was nice the customer service was shocking. The lady serving us made a massive problem in front of all us employees, waving paper at my employer, instead of taking the employers a side to discuss the issue.
Ideally located to visit Worcester. Very friendly staff and very good food. 2 car parks within 150 yards and reasonably priced. Definitely would stay again. Rooms: A bit dated but spacious and well equipped with hairdryer and hot drinks. Nearby activities: Nearly dead centre to town. Loads of bars, restaurants, tea rooms and a good variety of shops. Cinema right across road. Walkability: You can walk into town, Cathedral, river and tourists bits within minutes Food & drinks: Good selection of drinks and very good variety menu
Good food but service slow. Ordered on the app and food arrived quite quickly but forgot to bring the bread and butter. Drinks arrived 20 minutes after the food. Tip for everyone. Order food on the app but get your drinks at the bar.

Came here for my birthday meal with my partner, and the greeting from the staff was amazing, very warm welcome, smiling, happy staff that enjoyed a chit chat and a joke, thus was as they just opened from the day and were not busy at all with customers. The bar and restaurant seemed nicely laid out and didn't seem dated. We ordered our meals indulgent beef burger for me and New York Deli for my partner. The food arrived quite fast, again this may have been due to it being quiet. However, the burger was advertised as having Camembert slices, but this was most definitely Brie as a chef myself, I know the difference, and the advertised "BBQ burnt ends", well, these were more like canned tinned stewing steak, and nothing like real Burnt Ends, no flavour, non of the crispyness ect, I've been to Texas and the US south and tasted burnt ends, these are no where near good enough. And finally, the crispy shallots failed to make an appearance. My partners meal also had cheese issues, as the melted cheese advertised, was not melted at all. I'd also like to add, if the staff read this, please wait until your guests have had a chance to eat some of the food before asking if everything is OK, we got asked this before we ate a single bite. Needs slight improvements Food & drinks: Needs improvements
Shaun, the General Undermanager, was great. Knowledgable, very welcoming, friendly & hard working. The other members of staff were also as above. Food & drinks: I am a Coeliac so always worry when i go out for meals but this was well catered for with lots of understanding & seperate menus. 5 stars all round
Very nice indeed, very curtious staff and great food, what's not to like.Rooms: 5/5
We had lunch today and the food and service were great, thank you .Service: 5/5
Good food, well cooked & very hot. Real ale typical for a green king pub, limited. Gents toilets need improvement. Polite staff.
