5 stars based on 2 separate visits for lunch. We sampled the fantastic tapas menu (Not your average tapas though). The blue cheese with sweet dates was absolutely delicious and the goujons were lovely big chunks of fish. Great dips with the bread and as well. Good service, nice atmosphere and I would recommend to anyone.

Went for a Sunday lunch having heard so much about it... The food couldn't be faulted. But the music was too loud. Do you need music when eating??? And the temperature outside was very cold. So the constant opening of the rear door to the outside area, sent cold air into the dining room. If it's cold when eating. It's unsatisfactory.

Wonderful place to eat very quirky, fantastic atmosphere excellent food staff know everything about alcoholic drinks if you are unsure what to have well trained & pleasant staff would certainly recommend 5 stars for everything about larder house

Be warned: the conservatory means sitting outside with a roof + heaters, which can prove uncomfortably chilly in winter. The food itself... let's say it has aspirations and a price to match. Whether you think it matches it's aspirations is personal. I think it doesn't, but many like it - although many prefer to talk about the brilliant staff (who are good) not the food.
