The food was great and the staff were really lovely. The pub itself is a characterful place in a rural setting with a good sized car park. Dogs are welcome on a lead
Best pub food I have had in a very long time! Lovely staff and a real cosy lounge feeling. Can't wait to go there again!
Nice atmosphere with wood burning fire. We had tempura chilli prawns and a mushroom dish for starters. Prawns were crispy with a chilli dip, went down well. Sunday roast beef with all the trimmings and a plaice, beautifully presented and nicely baked with capers, for some reason served with chips. Roast beef and trimmings were great. Plaice also cooked just right with the contrast of the capers made it a great choice. Accompanied by chips though? Bit odd really, would usually find this paired with boiled potatoes and green beans...
Lovely country pub with a great menu. Sunday roast is highly recommended and you can even get a roast for your dog too served for them in a bowl. The service was excellent and you do not feel rushed to vacate your table as in some establishments. A lovely afternoon. I will visit again and tell friends about too. Thank you.
Lovely roast. I had the beef, meat cooked beautifully pink. Good friendly service. Good choices available
Beautiful old pub. Sunday lunch was excellent, really couldn't fault it and service was second to none. Highly reccomend visiting
Amazing! Food was divine... service was incredible and the atmosphere was amazing... can't wait to go back! Highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Staff are very welcoming. Food is always great here ! Just a very tranquil relaxed place to go for a meal to escape the rat race.
Arrived in a large group unexpectedly with most paying separately. The pub responded quickly and professionally and we were all served with drinks and food in no time. Local Beer, good... food, great... staff, very polite.. if I'm in the area again I'll definitely go back..
Disappointing menu. The pub used to have such a good name for food and we were looking forward to a treat, but it really wasn't worth the drive. Such a shame.
