The place is gorgeous! Location is really nice as well, all green around. There is a carpark so parking was not a problem. The food was delicious and fresh, the service was really good and a good variety in the menu. The only thing that I found could be improved is vegetarian options as I have friends who are vegetarian and if i wanted to take them there, there aren’t many options. But if you are a fish and meat person then this is definitely a great place for a really nice meal in a very nice atmosphere. Looking forward to go again and try other dishes.
Had a very nice early dinner here before heading off to the theatre in Horsham. Been here a few times over the years & glad to say the standard is really good. They have a very nice menu with a great selection of specials. I had the pan-fried Hake & my friend had a Duck a L’Orange, both of which were beautifully presented and very yummy. They have a comprehensive wine list and some good ales on tap. Very nice relaxed atmosphere and the service was friendly. All in all a lovely meal.
Sitting in the Garden was lovely, waited bit long for 3 starters but it was worth the wait. Food was delicious. Fresh and tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Kid-friendliness: Was a lot of families and kids outside in the big garden, playing enjoying the sunshine Parking: Have loads of parking space
Thank you so much to The Dragon for a wonderful wedding day. We got married on 21.05.22 and held our reception here. Oscar was extremely helpful and accommodating to any changes that we needed to make in the lead up to the day, and he put forward many great ideas too. He and his team were absolutely fantastic on the day, and the pub looked amazing. We were lost for words. Our guests raved about the food, and we received many many compliments about the venue. We honestly wish we could celebrate the whole day again, and we would not change a thing. We can not rate The Dragon enough, thank you all so much!!
Lovely place with lots of elegant eating areas; both inside and outside. Service was friendly and attentive, and our Sunday Roasts were excellent. I’d definitely describe this place as a restaurant, rather than a gastropub, and far removed from the traditional pub that it once was. In fact the only draft beer choices were Amstel and their own craft beer. The focus is very much on family dining, but at almost £20 for a roast beef lunch including vegetables, with a 10% service charge added automatically, the bill can be quite hefty. Nevertheless a good experience and would return.
Fantastic atmosphere, created by the flicker of candlelights, the stunning decor, and the friendly staff. Not just a pub. Had one of the best dinners! I and my husband had mussels, Zuppa del Pescatore, and the mixed grill while both kids had a plain burger. Both of my dishes were very nice, my husband - also a chef - loved his mixed grill and the kids enjoyed their burgers. Thank you to all the staff we had a an incredible night. Pricey! But the food was definitely worth it. Delicious, service was good. Well worth a visit
Excellent establishment for steak and seafood. Had the fish platter to start, and for mains fillet and t-bone. Definitely a hidden gem and great sized portions.
Just left after having had a wonderful meal. The Dragon Roast is a complete belly buster! And the kids sized roasts were a perfect size for my 11 year old. There was a minor incident with a spilt drink that the staff dealt with really quickly and without issue. Lovely restaurant, attentive staff and value for money quality food. We got as far as the car park before deciding we would want a Christmas-time meal here and went back to try and book! Edit: returned today for a lunch after walking the dogs 7km each way, was so disappointed that they weren't allowed in, not even in the bar area. This is what a country pub should be about, locals walking to you! As always the food was great. We just had to eat in the garden.
Popped in just for a quick drink with a friend whilst travelling in the evening, end up staying until closing time. The atmosphere was great and so relaxing on the patio. Food looked great though we didn't partake, but based on that service will definitely return and have food
