Had a champagne afternoon tea here for Mother's day and while the food was very nice the price was far too high for what we received (£70 for two people). The service was slow and the tea was your basic twining tea bag and there were no tea options. Definitely not worth the money when compared to local tea rooms offering the same or more for a much lower price.

The restaurant would be rated higher but the venue as a whole lost points based upon our room. The restaurant food was very nice with good size portions. The staff in the restaurant, bar and hotel were all very friendly and polite. The room we stayed in however could use more lighting and was very hot even with the windows fully open. It was also quite noisy as it was above the kitchen and a/c units. We would stay again but would ask for a different room.

A little dated but good value for money in this area. So cant be knocked.

Booked for Christmas with my wife and daughter. Absolutely brilliant😀. Breakfast, morning coffee, full lunch (Christmas lunch was superb), afternoon tea & then dinner! Staff were great, couldn't do enough for us & especially our daughter. Christmas gift included + reindeer food... If you want to get away for a few days over this period, then look no further for a hotel.
