Must go!! To start when I got there I was welcomed straight away with happy faces, I was shown to my room which is lovely especially being a city boy the original decor was lovely, the room was at the top of the hotel wasn't the biggest but it was very cozy and snug, fit in really well with how the weather was. When I went for food there it was lovely too I only had a burger an chips but it was amazing, very quick service too and made the experience lovely, they have their own local drinks/spirits ect which was great. The only downside is the early checkout because you have to leave by 11am but the part to check-in and stuff doesn't open until about 12 which is quite annoying as it's a different building all together but, overall it was fantastic and I recommend to everyone to go there even if it's just for a pint.

AVOID. Unfortunately, while the place looked nice, our stay was appalling. We came here for my fiancé’s birthday and were hoping for a restful stay, but since there is no noise insulation whatsoever in the room, and the doors were banging since 6 am as the guests were coming in and out, we barely got any sleep at all. In addition to the noise from the guests, there was constant noise from the pipes in the room throughout the night. The hotel tried to rectify the situation by offering us complimentary prosecco and a small discount, which, I am sorry, doesn’t actually beat a good night sleep. In addition even though the checkout on Sunday is meant to be before 11, we had to wait in the cold by a CLOSED door in order to checkout. The hotel also didn’t change the towels, and there were no extra shower gel, or loo rolls on the second day. The cherry on the top of this stay from hell, was my father in law getting injured due to the hotel not bothering to grit the footpath too THE HOTEL. The hotel said that legally it’s not their responsibility, and they pretty much don’t care.

Excellent room, well presented, comfortable and clean. Staff were excellent, courteous and professional. The restaurant served an excellent breakfast and the evening meals were good value for money. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel, loved the overall theme, no problems, everything clean. Would stay again when in the area.
