A country type pub, not too far from the city centre. Very welcoming, good relaxing atmosphere, mixed bag of age groups. Own micro brewery on site. Especially good on a sunny day, plenty of outdoor seating. Good reasonably priced pub grub on offer. Definitely worth another visit.

Excellent choice of own brewed ales from the onsite micro brewery. The Keelman has a range of beer styles rather than usual all 'golden' beers that most pubs have these days. Recommend Keelman Brown, strong brown ale that doesn't disappoint

Nice place to eat. Popular for walkers and bikes. Recently I have found out that they hold a one star food hygiene rating. This has not deterred me from visiting, but does put a doubt in your mind with every mouth full of food I swallow.

Called in on the off chance tonight for a evening meal. Service quick and friendly. Food amazing my husband had the gammon and I had a peppered chicken we also indulged in a sweet all I can say is that the sticky toffee pudding is to die for. Compliments to the chef we will definitely return.

Always been a good pub to visit. The beer is brewed on site and never fails to please the palate. Food is good and the outside of the pub is well decked out with table and chairs. Bowls of water are always put out for the dogs. A child friendly playground is kept in good order and the Keelman boasts ample parking.
