First time visit with family to celebrate my Mum's 60th birthday and it did not disappoint! Tasty carvery with a great choice of meats and sides, an amazing welcoming atmosphere and all of the staff were so friendly and really helpful as soon as we walked through the door! Everyone went above and beyond to make my Mum feel special! Definitely recommend and would go again no hesitation! Only thing I would say for anyone planning to visit is the car park behind the pub fills up fast, especially on a Sunday, so be prepared to park elsewhere if needed! Thanks again Jolly Farmer!
A lovely little pub with a cracking Burger menu!! These guys do good beers, they always have something interesting and new to try on their taps, we regularly come here on Bike rides around the Surrey hills. It’s a good last stop for us before heading back to Godalming. I have had their burgers here twice before I did these reviews and the first time was unbelievable, the second wasn’t as good, but you can only really taste the amazingness once and then your always comparing, and when I say amazing, this was one of the best burgers I’d ever had, I got it with Mushroom sauce and the meat was cooked to perfection. Defo looking forward to eating here again.
Great drinking free house for beer from all regions of the UK. Staff are fantastic. Food is great. Fires in the winter. No signal when there perfect!
Superb Sunday Roast. Four meats and maybe ten veg dishes to choose from; all excellent and home made. Because of the quality and being able to have a big portion it feels excellent value.
We held a birthday party for a friend of mine, more people turned up then were expected, the staff were fantastic, helped us move tables to accommodate the extra people and brought out a cake we had supplied, Very impressed.!!Rooms: 5/5
Sausage baguette with mustard mayo + potatoe and leek soup was really tasty, all for less than a tenner which was great value. Huge choice of beers too and friendly quick service - will definitely be back!
This boozer is a perfect example of why you should treat yourself to a trip out of the big smoke to get some fresh air in your lungs and soak in some different pub atmospheres. @jollyfarmer is a fabulous independent freehouse that blends; we love delivering a great range of tipples to fulfill everyone's needs and a homely I'm going to sit by the fire with my pint while having a lovely chinwag. This pub is well worth traveling for, my handy tip would be to get a train to Guildford, have a ramble down to the Jolly Farmer, treat yourself to a lovely ale by the fire after completing your achievement. P.S It’s a dog friendly pub, so bring your dog along for the walk!
Great food, great local beers, great service eclectic range of pub artefacts/decor, open fires and a cosy ambience. Being relatively local, I cant believe it has taken me this long to visit it. Will be def be back very soon.
Love them ales, such a wonderful variety. The food was absolutely amazing and the owners fantastic. Would highly recommend
Had the BEST Sunday roast today ! Often let down by soggy frozen veg and watery gravy but this was not that ! Meat was locally sourced and cooked to perfection, fresh and delicious veggies , gravy superb !!! I can’t recommend it enough . From the chef at the carving table to the lady that served us they where very friendly and attentive , would seriously consider driving from Bristol to come again next Sunday ! Well done guys you’ve got something really special !
