We popped in on impulse and had a wonderful meal with great service. My hubby particularly liked the seafood linguine and I had some tasty fish cakes. Would recommend the house Prosecco. Very nice. A great find
First time in a long time I have been to a restaurant and all 3 courses were of superb quality. Meat was tender, presentation was excellent and taste was very good indeed. Service staff were attentive and in good spirits, this is rare to see nowadays. Hats off to the staff. I live 50+ miles from this restaurant and it was booked as we are staying in a hotel locally, but would I gladly drive there again to enjoy the food and atmosphere. 5* for sure.

Had a Christmas meal with family and the food did not disappoint. It was cooked nice and plenty could not complain about any of the 3 courses we had. We booked for 430 and it got busy around 7. We dinned early in the year and then the food was excellent so standards have been maintained. The manager is great. Meal overall reasonably priced. Will Done to the horse and groom for making our visit remarkable.
Moved to Guildford in November and this has quickly become our go to Sunday roast spot! Comes with all the trimmings, and option to add cauliflower cheese which is essential on a roast but not very common. We’ve been 3 times now and service has always been great; fast and friendly. Highly recommend booking a day or two in advance for a Sunday booking as they’re always full. We tried a walk in before about 4:30pm and ended up being between sittings so there wasn’t too much choice as they were cooking more for the dinner service. Overall, never anything bad to say about this place, always leave very happy and very full!
The Sunday roast at The Horse and Groom is SENSATIONAL. We’ve visited a few times and every time has been perfect. Generous, delicious food, wine and a cozy atmosphere. Staff are great too.
One of the best meals we have eaten in a long time. The staff are incredibly polite, the head waiter I’m sorry I forget his name laughed and joked with us and made us feel very welcome. Even the kids meal came out with the same care and attention that the adults meals did. It was amazing to see chefs that take pride in all of their food, not just the plates for adults! Hoping to be back for my birthday in a few weeks time again
Nice local pub with a good beer selection. I've had a couple of nice meals here. Both the burger and pie were very tasty as well as some lovely starters. Was busy and had a nice atmosphere. Good place to eat and have a nice meal.Food: 4/5
Absolutely brilliant service, very accommodating and friendly. Food is delicious and appeared quickly. Particularly recommend the Pizette!
A great pub overall! Food is definitely great, having improve hugely from a few years ago it seems. The management were also very attentive, offering us a coffee on the house too. The restaurant was pretty full and everyone looked pleased as they left. A definite repeat!Food: 5/5
