Absolutely disgusting practice. The reception team are akin to Rottweilers with zero empathy or understanding of basic instruction. Its a complete free for all and totally ill-managed. The staff all have a strange, superior and un-helpful attitude. I cant believe they are still going in this state. A complete shambles and embarrassment to the trust. Im glad i joined another surgery whilst i could.
Of all the places I have lived within the UK, this is the worst surgery. The receptionists are uncaring, pure lazy, and obnoxious. They have no place working in an industry of care for the sick and dying with their flippant attitude, disgusting etiquette, and horrendously uncaring treatment of people rightfully worried for their own health. Grow some compassion for Christ's sake, or do not work as receptionists and the first port of call for those who require it. Shameful.
Worst run surgery I've ever been too, waited 6 weeks for a telephone appointment had a signal issue called back finally got a call from a rude doctor saying I missed my slot i didn't even bother mentioning the problem I had. Left as a result.
An excellent surgery, polite and professional staff who are always friendly helpful. Dr Alcock is one of the most dedicated and competent Doctors I’ve met. All of my online requests are dealt with promptly and I would recommend this surgery to anyone. Well done all of you!
Excellent in every respect. I have been a patient of this practice for 60 years and have always found them courteous, helpful. kind and caring.
My GP Dr Alcock has been great throughout this uncertain time. She has given me the support and time regularly to discuss my concerns. I couldn't ask for a more understanding GP. The reception staff have also passed on messages and dealt with these in a timely manner. Thank you all so much for your support and understanding. We are lucky to have this service in Hungerford who go the extra mile for patient care.
I had to register at the surgery before seeing a GP. The reception staff were prompt and friendly, and within a month I had seen a doctor. The systems they have in place are efficient and the professionals who work here are compassionate.
Unfortunately recently I have had emails ignored for days at a time when if I ring I get told to email them. Had my rpewats refused before when I suffer from asthma which atm is very bad. Tried contacting today and got ignored now since 8am this morning. Sent 5 emails and still no answer about having a asthma nurse ring me and needing a repeat for one of my medications. Had some rude admin staff talk to me poorly when ask for a repeat or appointments too. Please can you make sure all staff are kind and respectful and don't refuse someone's medication repeats without even telling them until a hour before boots is closed.
The receptionists have been very helpful and friendly and my doctor has been caring and attentive, faultless. Extremely impressed and thankful.
One would have thought working as an receptionist in a doctors surgery would require a modicum of tact, compassion, and care for the ill, but against all the odds, the staff here remain as soulless, and uncaring as your average store clerk. Props to anyone who can deal with the sick, and the worried of their alements, and remain rude, self-righteous, and even refuse care and cancel appointments on a whim. To maintain such a level of uncaring must take such levels of sociopathy, and ego, that it would warrent some respect if it wasn't so utterly vile.
