What can I say about this Surgery took my son about two months ago to see a doctor which The doctor was so helpful and could see that my son was having problems he prescribed a liquid medicine for my son it’s nearly 2 months on and we still haven’t got it because of the dispensary I’ve been back my self I went in yesterday they said that sort it I’ve been calling dispensary all day and They will not pick up the phone to me you would not let a dog suffer like they’ve let my son suffer you’re disgusting I’ve given you one star you don’t even deserve that
Receptionists are often busy on the phone so best to drop in to the desk to make an appointment if you can. Face mask wearing required.
Online prescription service doesn’t work. The dispensary is rarely open and the pharmacy queues are always long. I now have to go into the surgery twice a month to order and then pick up my prescription, putting myself and others at greater risk from catching Covid-19 and taking up your time for a non urgent process. When will the practice give it’s patients the facility to order their prescription from an online pharmacy that works?
Awful service - unhelpful and unsympathetic - receptionist hung up almost immediately regarding my query with no helpful information or next steps provided - seems they have no interest in patient health or wellbeing - avoid this place where possible.
No problems with the surgery but I feel they should have sorted the system for entering the surgery by now. It’s not clear where to stand for reception/dispensary or pharmacy. It should be so simple but unfortunately some people don’t understand that there is a queue....... Maybe they could put up better signs.
Ive always found that the receptionists are rude. Just phoned up to double check my appointment, one they gave the information, they put the phone down. No goodbye, nothing
Lovely surgery. Friendly abs helpful receptionists. Dr's and nurses brilliant. Never had an issue getting an appointment. The pharmacy is open every day until 10pm too.
Generally poor; god help you if you need an appointment with a competent doctor within a week. No weekend cover provided; it’s all westcall which is questionable. General diagnosis for complex conditions is lacklustre; gps aren’t straight about referral times; pain management is non existent. If you ask for a second opinion you are immediately on the black list. Follow up monitoring of long term conditions is non existent. GPs fail to call back even when it’s promised. It’s probably only a practise for people who need pills prescribed. Situation gets worse by the year as more people from surrounding villages flock to this surgery. All the good doctors leave. Can’t recommend. Burghfielders - find your own sodding GP and stop flooding ours !!!
I just moved to here from Shinfield surgery and in two visits have done more from me than 2 years going to Shinfield the staff at Mortimer are very professional and do care about you and I get to see the same doctor each visit very very happy
