Beautiful place with top notch service! I highly recommend! The dishes are delicious, the Balmoral Chicken is very well done as well as the Sticky Toffee Pudding! The waitress was very charming, thank you again for this very pleasant moment!
Nice, local type bar. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was better than your average pub chain. The fish and chips was a decent portion and tasty. I love a whisky and it was great to see a few options, especially a very reasonable priced Lagavulin 16, a personal favourite! Recommended for a quick bite or casual afternoon
Such a lovely and welcoming place! with a wide selection of different drinks which is amazing. I was served by Caitlin and what a wonderful young lady, she recommended one of the new slushy cocktails and it was delicious. Will highly recommend to anyone and will most definitely be back
Was in last week and had a blast! Got fish and chips recommended by Caitlin at the bar and it was lovely. Great variety of options and even have a summer drink menu. All the staff were kind and welcoming. Will definitely be back
I really struggle to fault this place, all the times I've been here I've never had a single complaint or issue. The mobile app is a really convenient way of ordering food from the table, although it doesn't seem to update when a particular meal is sold out, a couple of times I've had to reselect a meal when the staff have come over and let me know they've sold out usually sold out of chicken breast as this place is really popular Staff are attentive and friendly. The live music nights on a Friday evening are usually worth a visit. I really like this place and have made it my regular local when I am in the city. I'm working my way through their menu, trying out every meal. So far, the Balmoral Chicken is my favourite! Although - Team Howgait - is it possible to have the Purple Rain cocktail added back to the menu? This was the best one! I also enjoy the weekday half price cocktail prices, very good value for money.
Such an amazing place!! The food is great and the bar service is quick! I was in last Friday for their live music night and I had such a fantastic night! A special mention to Mantas and Graeme for being so helpful and lovely, really made my night. I’ll be going back tonight for bingo Thursday, and fingers crossed I win If not I’ll just drown my sorrows
I lived in the student accommodation right next to Howgait and the pub became our go to spot for food, drinks, pool, watching sports, and studying. Great service, friendly staff and brilliantly priced items with amazing student deals. The Beer Garden is perfect for sunny days and indoors is nice and cozy!
Was in tonight, place is a great wee pub. I think the girls serving were absolutely amazing ! sabrina I think ? Was so efficient and always had an eye on the bar to see if anyone wanted served and got there before most people could even ask for another absolutely amazing barmaid ! The other I didn't quite catch the name has a daisy tattoo made the place light up with a smile, serving and a thank you, both made me feel so welcome I will definitely be back thank you Cracking pint too !!!
Great prices, friendly atmosphere good all rounder- especially for football fans of just friendly catch up with mates. Food is also delicious plus it has nice outdoor space.
Amazing food thanks to the chefs. Sabrina and bekka were great too. Made our Christmas night out amazing! Thanks again Fiona, will defos be back to the Howgait
