The Piper Whisky Bar
"The Piper is located on George Square with great transport links. We serve traditional, home cooked food and a great selection of Scottish tapas. With live entertainment on 7 days a week there'll always be something fun going on. With a wonderful range of drinks there'll be a drink to suit you too, especially if you fancy a dram as we have over 200 malts/whiskies on offer. We can provide bespoke whisky tastings too, in our lovely function room or bar area, overlooking George Square. The staff are always friendly and welcoming too."

I must have come during their busy time, we were there a half hour before we could order anything, even a drink. Anyway, what a lovely spot to be in, staff are friendly and the food was delicious. I loved the Scottish Tapas, the haggis tweeds were delicious, the whisky sauce is fantastic! The black pudding spring rolls were very different and a welcomed play on a classic, the spring roll exterior brings a great outer crunch. Mom loved the steak and ale pie. Great spot, worth the wait, get in there and give them a try!
Second time in Glasgow and I found this place online, sounds delicious and interesting. Ordered a Scottish Tapas and served on time. Everything was great, except the Steak & Ale Pie a bit salty. Great Staff, Good Service I do recommend to go…
I went here for dinner yesterday and I had a lovely first dinner in Scotland. The guys were very friendly and the food was amazingly delicious!Food: 5/5
Went for the great whisky selection and location and wasn’t disappointed. Huge selection with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lovely vibes with good live music that wasn’t too loud and a prime location.Service: 5/5
Very nice bar, especially for tourists who wanted to try whiskey for the first time, like myself. They have a tasting sets and the staff explained different options quite well. Music was incredible! Definitely the atmosphere gets 5 stars. It was a Scottish/Irish absolutely gorgeous live folk music! Food was just fine, nothing special, but not bad.
Just drinks, bar staff were excellent, very busy but great attitudeService: 5/5
From the first step in the door we felt welcomed with the happy buzzy atmosphere. The barman was happy to serve us and show us to a table. Our order was taken in a respectful time after viewing the menu. Meal - this was lovely and full of flavour. The portions are just right. Staff worked well together, smiled a lot and knew what customer service means. Just before leaving we were given information of an upcoming show of live music. Great place to have a meal . . . .
First visit to The Piper and a bit daunting. I called in yesterday to find out more about the band etc. The lovely guy who took my call was absolutely nice, filled me in with great details of the band and the singer etc . He booked a lovely table No.16 for me. I was very happy with the table. Such a lovely thoughtful guy. Thank you to Mr Lovely guy. The singer sung lovely songs. Thank you!! I stayed on for an hour and half I enjoyed every minute of it. Such a lovely clean pub with an amazing friendly staff. I'm not a drinker. I had a glass of cranberry juice and a bowl of skinny chips. It was a lot in a medium sized basket. It was freshly fried that was what I like about it. Thanks. I would definitely come back with a friend next time.
My friend and I went for dinner tonight. Greeted by really friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere. Excellent food , excellent service. Excellent food choice. Tapas was lovely. Well done everyone......we will be back.Food: 5/5
Amazing pub and does my heart proud as a Glaswegian to see so many international visitors enjoying its vibe. Staff are spot on, enjoy their work and couldn't be more helpful to their guests Whisky selection is superb! Yes there are others in the city with larger selections but this covers a huge area and group of Scotch distilleries. I use it mostly as a last watering hole before I go to my work offshore, no booze! and it gets me set up for the 2 weeks ahead.
