Friendly people, good priced drinks, and high-quality karaoke singing. The biggest issue that I noticed was the quality of Wi-Fi here. Their router apparently can't support more than 10-15 parallel connections, so you to compete for a free slot. It is a problem only because there's almost no mobile data available at the main bar area -2nd floor, so no Wi-Fi means no internet.
Was in town for a few nights and stumbled upon this gay bar. It was a blast and the bear karaoke night hosted by Brucy was amazing!!! They sure made everyone feel welcome.Service: 5/5
Rarely have we been to a pub with such a welcoming, friendly and fun atmosphere. My partner and I visited the Underground last Sunday early evening and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. It happened to be Karaoke Night led by Bruce who kept everyone laughing and attentive between songs. He’s a truly gifted moderator. The bar staff were lovely and very friendly to both locals and newcomers. Drew was exceptionally kind and chatty with us and went out of his way to make us feel at home. The Underground was one of the most pleasant and memorable gay pub experiences in ages and we’re eager to return.
Very nice small bar with the perfect staff ever. Possibility to ask the barman to play your favourite song.
Comfortable and inviting underground bar similar to company bar Manchester only cleaner and bigger. Retro cool sounds, more mature sexy crowd varied nights and fantastic bar staff. Was made very welcome. Thanks guys x
Just drove 1 hour 30 mins to be refused a drink by the bar maid with the excuse we were to happy we must be drunk. We were stone cold sober never have I felt to humiliated but I tell you I will pass my comments to any decent person who agrees this is a disgusting way to treat another person. Life is to short to be miserable if you was my bar maid I would have you on a training course in how to deal with visitors. Clearly my money wasn’t good enough for you. I hope you get the sack as you are costing that business money clearly not effected by Covid like the rest of the world.
Best gay bar in Glasgow imho. Has so much to offer throughout the week from Drag bingo to Sunday Karaoke. Has a real mix of people with a great atmosphere and always made to feel welcome. Staff are lovely and the drinks are reasonably priced. Proud to call this place my local. Pool table to boot! hehe. Highly recommended.
Love this bar, end up here every time I'm in Glasgow. Friendly staff, great acts throughout the week. Could do with updating toilets and maybe extending drinks choice, but had all the normal stuff plus a few extra.
As you enter, you might think you're entering a den of inequity however it's really not the case. Friendly bar staff and a really mixed crowd. Good DJ and a mini dance floor. However the place is a bit on the small side and can get a bit crowded and enclosed. Don't let that put you off, always had a fun time
Great "gay" bar in Glasgow's Merchant City. Most times busy and all the time welcoming. Good music and thr karaoke on a Sunday evening is a fun night. Visit it once and you will visit it again. Boys behind the bar are all the best you could wish for. Well worth my FIVE star rating.
