I'd never been to The Hour Glass before, but when recently visiting my grandparents in Holt, we popped in for Sunday lunch and I was not disappointed. The meat was perfect and was one of the best Sunday roasts I'd had in a while. Would fully recommend coming here if you are in the area.

I would not recommend at all.
Food is revolting ribs was served in a thick layer of sauce which was placed to hide the revolting ribs that had no meat at all there was so much fat on them you couldn't even pick it up., onion rings were burnt peas were old steak could not even be cut. when we asked to speak to manager she took her time and such a rude and unprofessional person who was an embarrassment to herself.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

The Hourglass is excellent. The food was superb and the staff were courteous and professional. Would definitely reccommend.

A spoked family  meal.  Prawn cocktail starter was awful.  Cheap prawns and seafood sauce.  Hardly any lettuce a nd stale lemon wedges.   Bbq ribs were belly of pork smothered in Bbq sauce to hide the fat.  Absolutely horrendous. Sea bream smelly and dry.  Sirloin steak hard a d fatty.   Complaints made but unprofessional staff to deal with.  Will never return.    Ad food with high prices.
