Like entering a time warp. "1986 called, they want their pub back..." It is fair to say that this is not the most sophisticated of venues and is far from the cleanest boozer I have ever set foot in. That being said the group I was part of ended up having a laugh here due to the retro feel (non intentional I'm sure) and some very entertaining karaoke. In an age if identikit chain pubs and sterile "up-market" bars this is a beacon of the boozer of yester year, complete with faded décor and interesting clientele...oh, and there's a pool table too.

This is without a doubt the most unwelcoming pub in the world. Probably last cleaned sometime before word war 1. Zero atmosphere, miserable staff. The sort of place aimed at cramming the maximum amount of people in an Saturday night and filling them with alcohol whilst simultaneously emptying their pockets. We visited on a Friday afternoon when the 'clientele' consisted of our group of three, plus a man at the bar whose expletives where as regular as they were unwelcome. We left without finishing our drinks because life is to short to spend in a dump like the Rampant Horse
