Hi, had a lovely evening at the Hod carrier nice large TVs,there is a pool table &dart board.The beer was great as well!! The staff are friendly as well..... didn't have food so can't comment. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramped area at the rear car park .
A proper old school style pub, the cleanest of beers, a friendly group of locals and just an all round good atmosphere. Will be a regular haunt without doubt. Oh, and a welcoming landlord. 5 stars without doubt.
Fantastic Local Pub - really like the extra effort that has been put in since my last visit. The new owner appears to be really pushing the boat out in there and it is showing! We have to have a discussion and try to arrange a bike night there, when we are next in the area!
Booked function room for sons birthday. DJ arrived and the venue was unaware of booking. By the time we got there they were happy to show us where to go. Was offered and exepted jugs of squash which never arrived. Still very spacious function room with buffet area bar and toilets. Reasonably priced.
Brilliant morning at the Hodcarrier, organised by Steve Buyer, Noel Willis hosting today. £5 for unlimited coffees and teas and a bacon batch proceeds go to charity. If you want listen to great music and or join in playing then come along each week. You won't be disappointed! 3
Good luck neighbour friendly staff and faces lines kept nice and clean fresh for that crisp freshing tang off the cold beer cheers, pop by and enjoy that nice pint or 2
Love the Hodcarrier. Great pub, great landlord and a great selection of beers, wines and spirits
Open mic night is great, one a month, follow on Instagram.
We have had many happy hours here over the years and wish Phil all the best in his new venture
Nice little pub just stairs everywhere so not wheelchair accessible or suitable for a pram
