Visited here at the beginning of September.Very friendly staff. Could not do enough for you. Nice clean premises. Prompt service.Excellent food and drink. Will definitely return next time we are down there.
Recently take over this pub is a lovely place to go with any kind of group. The people running and staffing the place are personable, kind, helpful and have a great sense of humour! We enjoy a wonderful carvery really really delicious food and great portion size. The meal and drinks were really reasonable. I will definitely be making this a regular haunt. There was a nice crowd in there and when some did get carried away spoiling the atmosphere they were handled beautifully with care and tact and neatly and discreetly sent on their merry way. We were really impressed. Can't big it up enough.
We booked last minute on the bank holiday weekend for a last minute Sunday lunch as the previous pub we visited had ran out, the staff were absolutely lovely! So polite, friendly and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious we had carveries and a pasta bolognaise dish generous servings of meat and vegetables and all the food was hot and delicious!! Thank you very much guys, highly recommend we didn’t change a dessert as we couldn’t fit in any more, but they looked gorgeous!!
The food is good and lots of outdoor seating plus an upstairs deck it's definitely a good choice for a few drinks but sometimes the music can be a bit challenging inside other than that great all round.
Can’t fault the place , friendly and talkative staff. Going the extra mile especially the chef. Can’t fault the place at all. Will definitely return.
We arranged a meal at The Heavitree to celebrate our daughters 30th birthday From booking the meal with Andy right through to him bringing out the Birthday cake and us having drinks after, we felt that we received outstanding service . The food was really good and brought out all at the same time , nice and hot by a lovely young lady . The bar staff too were fab Thank you to Andy and the team . We had an amazing time
Food was amazing, staff were friendly... Def visit again
The two lovely lasses that served me were delightful. I don't understand how it was possible for the food to be better? I had a steak pie with mash, peas and some stilton sauce for good measure. There aren't enough stars available to rate this place, I've not even had my dessert yet but I am that confident I am slapping this here now.
After being taking over, new management has no idea what they want to be. A sport bar a night club, a pub?! Way too noisy. Not a family pub/restaurant anymore. If you want to have chill relaxing meal, AVOID!
8 of us pre-booked for Easter Sunday. Upon arrival we were told that due to staff shortage, a Carvery was the only food available. That's understandable but the food was awful. Veg available was carrot/swede mash, red cabbage, cauliflower cheese the cauliflower was too hard, burnt parsnips and potatoes dripping in fat. The Yorkshire Puddings were rubbery & cold. The whole meal was cold & unsatisfactory. To top it all, when we complained, no-one from management came to see us. Definitely won't be going back
