While visiting Exmouth early this morning to do some drone work in the area we took the time to visit the Bath House for breakfast. We were met at the door by the most charming chap, James, the general manager his natty badge informed us. James said we could sit wherever we liked, to be fair though we were the only customers at this ridiculous hour of the day so finding a seat was never going to be a problem, so we chose a delightful spot with a view out onto the sea. The views are a bonus at this venue. James informed us where we could find the breakfast options and we promptly ordered 2 Full English with minor adjustments no black pudding or tomato thank you, James was really helpful and offered an extra hash brown instead, which was nice as some places like McDonald's will allow you to take items off but keep the cost the same. The food came really quickly and was very nicely presented on the plate. The first thing I noticed when biting into my quite thick bacon was the taste, it took me back to old family holidays when my parents would cook the bacon on the grill. We were very pleased with our meals and felt more than satisfied with the cost, which I should add was only £3.49 per meal and had more on the plate than some "All you can eat!" establishments. In terms of facilities, the toilets were lovely and clean and from the chart, I could tell they were regularly checked throughout the day. Parking was very easily accessible outside and if you are staying next door at the Premier Inn, I would recommend using the Bath House for your breakfast, rather than the in-house facilities cheaper and probably better. We would certainly return and with such awesome customer service from James, it's now very much on my radar.
We popped in for a quick drink and to take cover from the rain. The welcome was polite and the service was quick. Unfortunately the place is unclean and unloved. I think the louder lady was the Duty Manager and gave me the impression that telling people she was the Duty Manager was more important than filling up the empty vinegar pots or having a clean around. But if you want cheap and quick this is the place if not a bit sticky
Popped in for lunch, staff were lovely. Went for sharing ultimate big combo which was plenty for 2 people as a main I think it's down as a starter. Everything is reasonably priced, and they have deals on quite often during the week.
The food was nice and hot, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was good too. The downsides are that the inside could do with a revamp, especially the wall under the bay window which looked horrible, plus the tables need refurbishing. Thank you...
We stopped for a light Sunday lunch . The pub was busy , there's a large varied menu . We opted for jumbo cod and chips peas with tartar sauce , my missus had a large white wine and myself a diet coke with ice. Exmouth is lovely . The beach gets very busy also the pubs and bars.
We visit Exmouth 2/3 times per year and always have to pop into the Bath House. Fantastic food at great prices, and always very generous portions. In fact I'm almost thinking about what food I'm going to enjoy on my drive down. Situated on the sea front gives perfect views across the golden sandy Exmouth beach and just across the water is the picturesque Dawlish. Pic is of my last visit, 24th June '22 which certainly set me up for the day.
Really nice family pub. Nice food, very friendly staff and a great selection of drinks. It even has 4 types of JD!
Me and my partner go there often lovely pub, staff are very friendly, drinks are responsibly priced, the foods amazing big portions, served fresh never had a problem, becoming one of our favourite places
Thank goodness for Hungry Horse - meals all day. Ordered and paid through their very fast app and served in ten minutes by a pleasant server. Job done. The food was very good. One thing: toilets aren't good. They need refurbishment. Locks hanging off doors and loose toilet seats.
Called in for breakfast sunday as we were camping near by, we have been here before and its dog friendly. Staff good and the meal brought out in a reasonable time as it was busy. Will call in again when next down in exmouth. The outside looks a bit tatty but it is clean inside.
