This is an outstanding gym and has an incredibly positive atmosphere. Great equipment, friendly staff and the best gym in the area. All the PT’s such as Ruby, Pritam, Jamie and Mickey are amazing and super supportive and help make the gym what it is. I’ve been working with Ruby for a while in addition to attending her Hyrox, Abs Blast and Hybrid 45 class, her knowledge of mechanics and programming is impressive. She knows exactly how to push you without overdoing it. If you’re looking for a PT who actually listens and delivers results, definitely ask for Ruby.

I have been attending for some time, doing a mixture of classes and my own thing. All the staff are helpful but the stand outs for me are Mikey, Ruby and Pritam. As an older woman I am very comfortable training alone and the atmosphere is welcoming

Majority of the equipment is very old and out dated. It gets hot in the gym as well. I’m not sure if they’re investing in upgrades, but they need to. They’re missing simple items to help unload weights onto deadlift bars or hooks for the squat racks. It stinks in the gym too, probably because of how hot it gets…

I just called and spoke to an extremely rude person who cut the call on me.nExtremely disgusting behaviour. Highly dissapointed.nnI called on behalf on my uncle who cant speak english.nThe pin given to him doesnt work and i have reached out to them online and was told the pin should work now.nHowever for nearly 2 months now he has been unable to go because his pin doesnt work. And because he goes after 8pm no one answers the help button.nnThe guy on call didnt help at all and just said to tell my uncle to visit the gym and cut the call on me in extrememly rude manner

As a user off various gym group across birmingham, I can honestly say the gym group is a good gym. The gym group shirley is the stand out gym though, from being a well organised gym to feeling like a sense off community, which all comes from the friendliness and knowledge from Sally and her team.
