Christmas dinner 2023, food absolutely amazing and plentiful! Felt really relaxed and comfortable! Not rushed in any way, staff checked we were ready for the next course each time. Unbelievable value for money at 43 per head for three beautiful courses! Could not have been happier! Staff are so friendly and absolutely lovely!Food: 5/5
Still fantastic value!! 2 mains for £ 10.49... seniors lunch 2 courses for £4.99... Frienfly staff, a warm welcome and big sports screens. A regular for our family. Kid-friendliness: Amazing value kids meals!
Another lovely night in the Gunner, Lisa and the rest of the staff were friendly helpful warm and welcoming as usual. It's a modern pub offering an old fashioned personal experience. Food is lovely and very reasonably priced. The team at the Gunner always try to accommodate your needs where possible. A very rare experience in the modern age, we travel as far as the south of Spain and the Highlands of Scotland regularly and can honestly say that this is quite a unique experience, all down to the team at the Gunner, thanks team see you again very soon. Everything was fantastic, the staff are lovely, the food was beautiful and its a lovely relaxed atmosphere, and total value for money! could not fault it and will most definitely be going again and I have already recommended it to people...100% best place I have been in a long time!Food: 5/5
Visited on a busy Saturday afternoon just before a footy match was due to be shown on the TV's, as we didn't have a booking were were allocated a 'reserved' table and advised we would need to have finished in a couple of hours which was fine. After ordering food we were served by a very nice lady called Lisa, who to be honest was probably one of the best serving staff in the whole Green King chain of pubs and restaurants, very professional, chatty and not in your face like some others. As my son has very recently moved to the area I am very limited visit again very soon. Thanks Lisa you were great.
The food was good for a cheap meal. I was fascinated as used to go here over 50 years ago when I was on a split shift at the local hospital. It's still very recognisable inside.Food: 5/5
This was our first visit for 2 meals for. £9.99 my wife and I was greeted by. Lovelly staff and left to browse through the menu. The man serving us was lovelly and helpfull and nice to talk to. My wife had a rhubarb gin. Some thi g she has never tried before but was gorgeous. I had steak a E ale pie which I was expecting our portions to be smaller as they was on the special. This was not. The case. The portions were large superbly. Cooked and very The man serving us checked everything was OK without I trudging and was nice to talk to. The pudding is out of this world nice and a massive portion for the price. We will 100 %return and have recommended it to our friends.
