A must-visit gastropub. I definitely fell in-love with their Sunday roast. Everything from the appetisers to the main courses to the desserts and beverages is delicious, fresh and of good quality. You will also be properly taken care of, since all staff members wear an infectious smile and check on how things are going. Additionally, I've also observed how well they catered to each of their client’s request. Moreover, the atmosphere is also perfect for social gatherings with friends and loved ones. If you love drinking outdoor, their garden is magnificent in the summer. It is without a doubt one of the most amazing location I have ever visited.
We came early evening on a Monday. It was fairly empty. The waitress was probably new because she kept having to ask the manager a lot of questions we had, and forgot the cutlery etc. Most of the summer cocktails were not available. However, the cocktail we did manage to get in the end was delicious and the food was also high quality. We will come back and I’m sure the service will be better once staff have time to be trained a bit more :-
Such a good experience in this restaurant. I ordered hummus as an apoetizer and got in love with the bread. Main dish was salmon with vegetables and plating was just fantastic.I fully recommend this clean and cozy place.Food: 5/5
Lovely evening at this pub in Greenwich. Booked a table online and the lovely staff called in advance to let us know that 2 Sunday rosst options had sold out. How nice is that? We needn't have worried there were still plenty of dishes available. Hubby had the lamb roast, I had nut roast both served with delicious roast veg and a Yorkshire pud. Our teenage son opted for a burger served with fries which he described as one of the best burgers he's eaten texture was very good apparently. Location was pleasant, we opted for the outdoor seating area which was perfect on a sunny July evening. Service was excellent. I would happily return to eat and would recommend.
Had a birthday lunch at The Guildford Arms and it was such a treat. Katie, who served us, was so warm and kind. The food was great value and really tasty. They were accommodating to my diet restrictions and just wonderful in general. Will definitely be back. Thank you!
Just had another fantastic meal at the guilford arms. Always a joy to eat here, particularly in their glorious garden. Tried the mid week special and it was incredible value. My 5 year old agreed with me that they do the best burger in town! Staff lovely as usual. Always such a pleasure to eat here. Was v.quiet in the garden. Not enough ppl know about the offers!
The drinks arrived before we’d finished ordering. We still don’t know how they did that! The service was simply stunning. The food was brilliant and the atmosphere was everything we wanted as friends out for a catch-up after some fifteen years! Alex deserves a mention. He was great. Read the table and impressed me so much that I fully intended to write this review. But as I was leaving I wanted to do more. I wanted to talk to the manager to make sure Alex got the praise. Turns out Alex is the manager. Lead by example. We can’t wait to come back.
Had a very nice Sunday lunch here. The nut roast was very good. The brocoli was fantasticly green. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic. Nice atmosphere and pleasant surroundings. One staff member initially said that there was no vegetarian gravy but there was, so I was happy. Vegetarians want gravy on their Yorkshire pudding as well. Two pictures shown, one dinner from the Guildford Arms and one dinner I cooked, both very delicious and healthy.
The Sunday roast was nice, I could have made a more flavourful roast at home, but I do prefer my food well seasoned. My lamb was quite fatty, which is not my preference but it was very soft and tender. The roast potatoes did not taste fresh at all. They tasted like they had been cooked earlier and just kept warm. Very disappointing. Roast potatoes should always be fresh and crispy. The brownie dessert comes with cream but they were very accommodating and substituted ice-cream at no extra cost. The only thing I can pick at is the temperature, it would have been nicer if it was warmer - otherwise a very delicious desert. I enjoyed two margaritas, which were DELICIOUS - whoever made them.. Well done! Parking: Parking is very expensive - Almost £9 for 2 hours - which is extortionate - especially on a Sunday! There is free parking on Sundays on John Penn street, it's a short walk to the pub.
Anke was amazing. Her knowledge of the menu and warm personality, made us feel welcome and made our anniversary celebration so special. Food was delicious.Food: 5/5
