Can't say I like their system. You place your order at the bar, so make sure you know your table number. However, they will bring the food to your table. If you order a hot drink, you'll get an empty mug and you will have to help yourself at the machine. We had their fish and chips. I had the small version but it was enough for me. The fish is quite good, very crispy and tender inside. Price is very reasonable, which probably explains why they were quite busy.
Location and food is great. Service is also very good and fast. Deco is a little aged but atmosphere is good. It's also very cheap, especially the small fish and chips. A decent size of fish for less than £4 and with a drink! Chicken tikka is also very tasty. Not too recommend the steak though, very dry.
Great Food/Drink and excellent value, what's not to like about Wetherspoons. I had the gourmet steak which was really delicious and tender, service was good and I always use the App to pay and get brought to my table.
Placed my order online and received the meal quite quickly. Reasonable priced breakfast and refillable coffees available. Decent place for breakfast and catch up session with my friend.
This was one of the worst weatherspoons i have been too. I might have just been there on a bad/busy day, but the food was not up to scratch. The food was served with sauce that was litteraly still frozen, who serves frozen sauce? The reason it's not 1, is because the service was not bad and the staff were trying thier best. All orders came to us in good time and nothing was a miss. It is in a great location, but the inside just feels quite run down and old. I would visit again with the hopes of it being better next time
A reasonable example of a 'spoons. Had Greene King IPA which was very good, also had the nachos which arrived hot and had plenty of cheese, guacamole, salsa and sour cream. Toilets were clean and tidy. Not an exceptional building, but the stairs were interesting. May visit again.
Friendly staff, lots of room, service is good. The quality of drinks is very low and after drinking here you risk a chance of becoming ill due to their cheap alcohol. Definitely a place to go before a night out for a quick drink but would not spend the entire night here.
We ordered 3 portions of chicken wings and 3 of halumi grilled and we were 3 ppl at the table .. It came like in the picture.. Grill was like microwave halumi .. Some bits were not even the full size so maybe from other plate.. the wings were all stuck to each pther and very oily.. Staff was ok on bringing the order although they should have thought to bring small plates for us aswell.. The beer wasn't great .. far from a good cold fresh pint of beer.
We timed our arrival with the departure of a rather boisterous group of football fans getting into a bus to nowhere. The pub itself is in an art deco building and is on two main levels with a bar on each, but just watch the stairs as they aren't very wide. And they were showing the football on a large screen up there - very unusual for a 'spoons It was very busy when we were there so not a lot of time available to interact with the staff, but they seemed reasonably efficient. What empty tables there were, were clean and tidy and the Guinness was excellent as was the Hook Norton Old Hooky.
Maybe a bad day but as I explained to the bar manager our burghers were inedible. The meat patty was dry tasteless nothing nice about it. Also for one serving the bacon, cheese were dry and the bun was burnt. Terrible value for money. Where is the quality control? Especially as I understand it’s hard to find experienced chefs. The management need to check what customers are paying for
