The Duke

About

Boasting great draft & bottled beers & ciders, cask ales, wine, coffee & tea, tasty food, roof terrace, beer garden, free Wi-Fi & live music @ weekends!

Story

The Duke has a long, well-stocked bar; with a great array of bottled beers from around the world, an ever-changing selection of cask ales, an excellent wine list and a delicious food menu prepared fresh in-house by our chefs every day. We even do take-away!

Our open plan seating & dining area is the perfect place for a quick catch-up or a grand party, and with a beer garden AND a roof terrace you can be sure of a pleasant visit (weather permitting!)

The Duke has long been intertwined with the Deptford music scene; hosting such local luminaries as Dire Straits & Squeeze in their formative years. We aim to carry on this tradition by hosting regular live music, for free, every Week.

Every year, the London Marathon passes right outside our door. The Duke - which sits on the 7-mile marker - sports a live brass band on our balcony and serves a special breakfast menu and refreshments from 9am, followed by lunch at 12.30.

This place is absolutely gorgeous and has a beautiful design and theme. The location is fantastic too. But it was just too dirty for my liking. I would rather stay in an ugly but clean place. And I have lots of allergies so I was sniffling the next morning.
Friendly staff, modern room and lovely shower. Only thing I can fault is a couple of tatty bedding but would book again
Great food, such a diverse menu with something for everyone. Staff really add to the experience, highly recommend
Another amazing little pub find when we arrived in London we didn't know the area and stumbled upon this pub. Very friendly bar staff, I think they said they owned the pub. The beer was lovely too.
Nice little place ....off the main road, beer a bit limited at the time but didn't spoil the visit
