This is a zero star rating .. unfortunately I can not select that option on google . I am totally disgusted with your chef John tonight . We work 5-6 days a week . I cook 6 nights a week . We came to your restaurant with friends for dinner and ordered four starters of soup which was ok followed by two roast beefs , one roast chicken and one roast lamb . Instead of potato’s we received chips . On first glance the Yorkshire’s were black which we pointed out to the waiter who said he would fetch replacements from the chef . These never arrived all meats apart from the chicken were unedible and the blood tasting gravy smothered the whole plate was unavoidable .The vegetables consisted of a bizzare roasted / boiled combination dripping in grease also unedible . When we went to pay I explained we would not be paying for the two roast beets however we were still charged for the rest . I asked to speak to the chef and I asked him why he thought it acceptable to send out food of this poor standard he responded by asking why the food was bad . He said that the Yorkshire’s were burnt because they needed to be kept hot . I have never heard anything so ridiculous . He then went on to say it was the end of the day so we should pretty much expect what we got ! I responded by saying if you can not be bothered to cook he should have let us know so we could take our money elsewhere ! We were offered no apology apart from the bar staff who looked almost bullied by this chef . We left feeling disgusted and starving hungry .

Food good, pleasant atmosphere in relaxing surrounding. Service leaves much to be desired. Waiter/waitress disappeared for long periods of time. They need training on the finer points of good service.
