We stayed two nights here, had breakfast and dinner twice along with drinks. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the food was fantastic!! I would recommend this place to everybody! The best part was waking up and hearing the birds chirping in the courtyard through the open window. The manager Nathan is extremely friendly and welcoming! He made our last night here more fun than we ever expected! Also we learned that Nathan has just taken over as manager so if you’ve had a bad experience in the past I would definitely recommend that you give it another chance!

Good breakfast and the rooms are dog friendly..we were booked in for 5 nights the wardrobe was falling apart ..the whole accomodation cottage needs work, it was more shabby than chic..bed was clean and bathroom. Only 1 bedside table and 4 hangers no thought into how long we were with them and what our needs would be.

The room was comfortable enough, and I liked that we weren't woken up by housekeeping on days we slept in. The food was yummy and the location was convenient for getting to London. The only thing I would've liked is more attentiveness by wait staff. It would've been nice to have a coffee and or water refill without tracking the water down to ask. Overall though, I would still recommend it. I simply wouldn't recommend driving in too late as you have to take a long, unlit, and narrow road to get to the hotel.

A quirky place, selling itself on its history but making very little of it. Bedroom was tired and the heating fairly ineffective, unlike the "restaurant" and breakfast room which were very warm, presumably costing a huge amount to heat. We won't be back.
