We travelled from Northants. to Anglesey Abbey and needed a light brunch on the way. Googled this café and found it easily-even parked right outside! What a gem of a place.The exterior is very stylish from the main rd.and the interior is really pleasing.Lovely, friendly chef/owner who was chatty and amenable.The toast for meand sausage+bacon bap for my husband were enjoyed by both of us served wifh 2 coffees with hot milk in a decent sized jug for 2 peopleso many places skimp on milk and were served pretty quickly so we were able to get to the Abbey at a reasonable time.We put this lovely café straight into our contacts list so if we're at Anglesey Abbey again, we will definitely return.
A fantastic little Oasis in the heart of a beautiful town called Godmanchester. The second we walked in we were made to feel welcome by the friendly staff who work there. The food was amazing, home cooked and tasty. The service was second to none. We had a great meal, good conversation and in such a beautiful setting.
I was in the area as I had a puncture and was getting my car tyres replaced just up the road.nThe cafe was closing, but the very kind owner went out of her way and let me in.nI was so grateful as it was very cold outside.nNot many places these days will go above and beyond like the owner did for me and I was so grateful.nIt’s a lovely cafe inside and I will definitely be returning with my family when I’m back in the area as the food looked amazing and the hospitality was fantastic.
Wow, what a superb breakfast and service. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience fantastic. They have seating inside and out, we opted for outside as the weather was delightful. The breakfast came quickly and as you can see 'The Major' massive just about scoffed the lot! I would say that it was not the cheapest breakfast but the quality is worth the price. We will be coming back for sure.
Absolutely incredible experience the lady was kind and attentive. We went as we were meeting up with family who we often don't see very often and fancyed a change from Cambridge services. Our scones where freshly cooked warm out the oven best I have ever had. Portions where brill and will definitely be coming again.
