Had a really lovely meal here last night with my family. Dogs are allowed and they also have treats for them too. Staff were so nice and helpful! Any question asked was quickly sorted too. Made me a lovely vegan wild mushroom risotto as I'm gluten free and vegan. It was so nice! The fish and chips were well made and prawn salad were finished completely off by the family too. Nice calm atmosphere in the bar as well.

Cannot fault anything about the wonderful food, drink and service.nBusiest night in August, staff were beyond friendly, accommodating and helpful.nAmazing location, gorgeous views. Can’t believe we haven’t been in on our many trips to Hunstanton!nHighly recommend

We had tried three other hotels, all fully booked, before we booked the dog friendly Golden Lion Hotel. Lucky us! It's proximity to the beach and a lawned frontage was a key asset. But, on arrival, it was the generous room, super comfy bed,  fab bathroom, excellent service and great food...with a view...that made it for us. The breakfast was quality and the evening meal such that we immediately booked tables for every night of our stay! The staff are efficient, professional and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A great place with easy access to the Wash coastline. Highly recommend.

Two of us ordered steaks which they completely mixed up.  Service very very slow. Don't expect anything with your steaks, it's all extra although not much choice. Only good thing was the sunset.nAlso overcharged considerably compared with the prices on the menu. Plus 10% service charge on top of all that. Keep well away, they dont know what they're doing.

We went for Lunch only, the service was great. Nice views from the bar and bar meal area. Slightly more expensive but you don't mind paying as the renovations must have cost a lot. The hotel has rooms and a restaurant available. Would have liked to have seen more for vegetarians on the menu, keep it simple. To be honest a little more on the plate too.
