Popped in for lunch whilst shopping in Northallerton on a cold, damp Thursday in January.nVery welcoming, comfortable and warm....and quite busy. Not cordon bleu offering, but the menu was varied and well priced. Thoroughly enjoyed my Haggis, Neeps and Tatties with a Whisky Sauce.
Terrific value for money. The rooms are very dated but clean and warm. We found the staff to be very friendly and the receptionist very welcoming even ensuring that we were given the room with the sea view, balcony and jacuzzi .nThe food was very good too. Just one niggle, what industrial product do they clean the tables with? Everything sticks to the surface and feels horribly sticky.nWill definitely go back.
Great location on Northallerton high street. Really friendly personnel and a great menu choice for people dining.nnThe food is delicious, tasty and very well presented. You won't be disappointed.nnHotel is a little tired. Haven't stayed there so can't comment on the accommodation.nnAlcohol free offering is limited with no zero prosecco, wine and only one shot of zero gin left! Needs addressing!
Absolutely knock out carvery! Visiting from London and blown away at the quality of meats and sides for around £20 wouldn’t be able to get this quality in London for any less than £80. Highly recommended
Arrived on the morning asked the blonde girl on reception about food she said it starts at 12pm so i said we'd go back and she suggested wetherspoons. Went back at 12pm but was fully booked she said I should have reserved a table. I said I didn't know i had to as she works there she should have told us as. i did say I was going back. Ruined my partner's birthday we drove and hour to get there and ended up having to home.
