Called in for a lunch on a weekday. Had a turkey roast dinner at a really good price, probably the best dinner in this area. Huge Yorkshire puddings, large portion of thick cut turkey and lots of veg. I can't say how much I enjoyed it, but it was a lot. Staff also very friendly.
Beautiful old coaching house. Service is excellent. Comfortable and cosy. A lovely place to meet for a coffee, a drink or to dine out. In the centre of the High Street, a grand looking building with such character. It offers great function rooms for weddings, parties and day time events too.nA bustling market on Wednesday and Saturdays and many unique shops to look around. Close to the Dales, the moors and also the North Yorkshire coast is not far away.
I have celiac and was anxious about eating here, however after a phone call to get information and being told of their gluten free menu I felt less anxious. On the day I ordered the fish pie and not only was the staff aware of me being gluten free before I had to specify but the food was absolutely amazing. The best I've ever had at any place! Finished the meal with the apple pie which was just the best dessert I've ever had anywhere and it was so amazing to see a dessert like that be gluten free! Most places have ice cream and maybe a brownie, so it was a great change of pace. Also the menu was clearly marked which was great! The staff were also more than happy to help out with getting me a wheelchair friendly table, and did everything they could to keep everything comfortable and safe!
My friend and I went for a meal on Thursday absolutely beautiful cooked to perfection staff couldn't have been nicer very impressed. Will be going back very soon going to try breakfast five stars
Fantastic food. £3 to park in the car park all day and if you go in and eat they refund your parking. Lots on the menu for under £15 and plenty of choice. Chicken stroganoff was absolutely delicious. The gentleman who seated us was lovely, great laugh! Told us about the well in the floor and made sure we had the best experience possible. Really wish I had got his name as he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. Just a great place, busy but with a. Great atmosphere!
