Nice Spoonz with friendly staff and atmosphere...enjoyed a bit of breakfast on a recent trip to North Yorkshire.nAlways call if I'm up North Yorks, one of my favourites to visit.
I'm an avid supporter of spoons but will call it out when they fall short. The buck however is cracking, just like most I visit. Friendly staff, good service and good beers. Food also well up to standard. Great little outside area and plenty of seating inside too. It's my nearest spoons so I'm glad it's this good.
It's a nice Spoons. The drinks a varied and cheap, just as expected.nThe service was slow but, it was 8pm and slightly busy. The food is below average and although not expensive still not great value for money. Our complaint was handled well as they got the order wrong. They did blame us for the error withiut investigation. We declined an offer of free dessert. It would seem that almost everything, apart from steak, is microwaved! Greasy tables and no care from the kitchen staff although they are obviously limited. In summary, not a bad venue for drinks, avoid the food unless you desperate.
My parent's experienced a very rude member of staff who wouldn't allow them into the premises because my father had a therapy dog, who he takes everywhere with him. He is disabled and has PTSD. The women who ever she was wont name and shame basically shooed them out the door and I am disappointed with how they were treated. They go to alot of wetherspoons around the area especially 3 tuns in Thirsk which their staff and manager are lovely and allow assistant therapy dogs inside. This time they had to leave and go else where and sadly the place lost business and will have for future reference. Please train your staff to be polite and have good customer service or they shouldn't work in hospitality!
First time here and we loved it the staff were friendly and helpful the bar and garden look amazing and the food was better here than other weather spoons we've been to I definitely recommend this bar to everyone
