Prices from the year 2000.nAs all spoons. Great selection of beers. Ales a bit hit and miss. Toilets, less of a walk compared to other spoons.
A decent venue overall. Bright and modern on one side, where the bar is located, and standard Wetherspoons with carpets on the other. A huge venue, extremely popular and packed out on a Saturday afternoon. Decent food and a quick turnaround. Had the BBQ Chicken Melt, which didn't look great, but tasted good. Would certainly recommend.
Always sticky tables, even after wiping.nnService can be hit and miss. A smile from the server extremely rare.nnFood might be considered good value, but no modern, healthy options, just low calorie, low protein, which is poor.nnI appreciate they are working to a budget, but given their sales volume, the menu is due an overhaul.nnUPDATE:nnGot a smile from the charming young lady behind the bar today. That’s a first! Tables and other bar furniture still super sticky and they can’t be bothered to clean even when you ask. Time go an environmental health inspection. If it’s like this out front, what’s it like in the back of house?nnSticky unwashed bar tables can harbor a variety of germs, including E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus, which can cause infections. These germs thrive in environments where food and drinks are served, especially if the surfaces are not regularly cleaned.nnEND.nnWetherspoons generally a great brand, providing a good value place for people to meet.nnThis one is average.nnNeeds more cheerful and dynamic leadership, perhaps; or, allow tipping for good service?
I ordered the sticky toffee pudding and it had sharp plastic i choked on it and I will not be returning
Visited on a Sunday lunchtime after looking at cars in the area. The place has an interesting interior, quite quirky but comfortable with a couple of niches in archways in the side wall. Service at the bar was slow with only one young lady present. Used to quite enjoy the fayre in Weatherspoons but, since the change of menu, tend to visit less. Had the barbecue chicken melt but the chips were only lukewarm and plates almost cold. Reasonable pint of Abbot Ale but only stayed for one as it wasn't the warmest place either.
