Rob the owner was a real gentleman. Friendly and fast service. Lovely food and drink. Warmed by a roaring fire Rooms: 5/5
Ordered a buffet for 20 for a work meeting. Only £3 a head for the basic package and it was fabulous!! And it got delivered to work. Would definitely use again and 100% recommend. Other packages available so might go crazy next time!
Went for a Saturday lunch, food was all freshly prepared and we really enjoyed it, would recommend. Ideal location for the railway station and for if you don't want to be right in the centre of town. Lovely staff and reasonably priced. We'll be back.Service: 5/5
Lovely little pub right near the station . Went for Sunday lunch before getting our train. All the staff are lovely and Laura is super attentive. Thanks for a crackin Sunday dinner Service: 5/5
With the cafe on platform 1 closed this hotel a few metres away from the station is a great place to get a snack and a drink. Laura behind the bar was a great help and makes it feel homely. The BLT I had was very tasty.
Went here after travelling from out of town for a funeral. I have been here once before and had a lovely meal. On the day we met for the funeral they were kind enough to let us leave our car in the car park until the service at the church and cemetery on were over. Thank you so much to the landlord/landlady for your kindness, much appreciated on a sad day.
Booked in for half 12, arrived early but were shown to our table quickly. They were very busy, couldn't see many spare seats but didn't feel ignored at any point. Friendly staff, love the atmosphere here it's a lovely pub. Food took quite a while to arrive, but as mentioned they were full. Had one pork and one beef dinner. And we got a massive jug of gravy instead of it being already placed on. Both of us preferred the beef which is unusual. For my taste the roast potatoes and parsnips were a little over done but the rest of the veg was perfect and there was a good range. Crackling was lovely and portions were huge.
Just back from lovely Sunday lunch it was buzy but we were kept up to date from Laura who was a excellent staff member . Lovely food all locally sourced ingredients...we will go again ..
Popped in the bar for a breakfast bap which was lovely and juicy, bacon just how I like it. Ended up staying longer and indulging in 10am libations because of friendly staff that are great and friendly to chew the fat with!Service: 5/5
