Popped in for a bite to eat with family last minute. The food was great and the service was excellent. 3 of us had the Pizzas and we would recommend them and the Garlic Chicken was lovely. Will be going back again to try some more of the Pizzas
I love the top quality food served here, really enjoy the Sunday Lunch which is excellent value for money. Will be back many more times.
Lovely food as always. Great service, good choice on menu and Sunday lunch is always fabulous. Family friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff. Would highly recommend.
I visited today with my daughters and brother for a quick drink after a walk. We was met by a very unfriendly and extremely rude front of house lady with black curly hair. We were told where to sit and that our food order would be taken at the table, which didn't happen until we had almost finished our drinks and was ready to leave. We said thanks and bye as we left and got no reply. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere and will not be returning. Claire behind the bar was lovely as was the young man who brought the cup of tea.
Been coming here for year's. Had a Christmas meal here, very good excellent quality, friendly staff.
Bit old fashioned and limited veggie food but the goats cheese tart was delicious. The veg and potatoes that comes with it though a little boring and plain. But fine if you like that kind of thing. They weren't over cooked which was good. The old fashioned puddings were a hit with my family and yummy! Rolypoly and proper sticky toffee pudding! And custard!

Fantastic place for Sunday lunch, great staff and excellent menu. One of our absolute fave places for a relaxing afternoon. We have been quite a few times now and we plan to go again.
Me and my mum visited here after coming here once when I was younger. We are visiting the area and thought it would be nice to relive some old memories. As we walked towards the pub we noticed it looked very dark. No lights on and very quiet. We found the entrance and we went inside. The greeting we got wasn’t the best, I’m a waitress myself and it was a terrible greeting. The 2 ladies stood near the restaurant bit and told us we couldn’t go sit in the restaurant as they were trying to save electricity, we can understand that as everyone’s trying to save money. One lady pointed to a table in the corner of the pub and said that was our table. We sat down and ordered drinks. It was prompt and our order was soon taken. I ordered the American pizza and my mum had a Yorkshire with veg. The meal came and was hot and was lovely, until my mum found a hair on her cauliflower. She called over the waitress and explained there was a hair on her food. The waitress lifted the plate up and started inspecting it at our table. “You sure that’s a hair?” After sometime she then said you sure it isn’t a fibre of something. Which is completely rude. She took the meal away and the other lady came back and asked my mum to explain what the hair looked like. It was black and curly and was definitely a hair no need to explain. Then after giving my mum 20 questions she eventually apologised and offered my mum another meal. I think it’s completely rude and off putting to inspect a dinner at the table and then rudely make out my mum was lying. They both stood at the bar having a natter while looking over at us to make it clear they were talking about us. Pizza however was actually okay. Will never return and you should avoid this place. Staff were rude and the place is not welcoming. It’s very hard as well as there’s no shops about to get anything to eat til tomorrow.
Great traditional pub grub , freshly cooked good quality produce,great staff, excellent views , all round a great place to eat
