Excellent food, excellent drink.  Lovely friendly staff.   There is a great warm and friendly feeling as soon as you walk through the door.   I felt at home and had no desire to leave just wished to stay sat near the real coal fires.

Visited today for the first time with the wife , daughter and partner and grandkids. Lovely food the Pate was one of the best I've ever tasted , Sunday roast was very nice with plenty of meat and fresh vegetables , the puddings were to die for especially the carrot cake cheesecake. 
Great tasting beer and friendly staff. 
5 stars from me.
