We celebrated at The George Inn for Winterton Show Weekend 2026 and thoroughly enjoyed a very well organised night. It was a pleasure to bring family and visitors to the area and show off a fantastic local pub. A big Thank you to all the staff at the George Inn for all their hard work.
Great pub. Just as a pub should be. Warm, friendly, good staff. Always a great atmosphere and everyone welcome.nThere is now a fabulous daily menu of super delicious food available. What more could you want at this great pub?nI have added the menu here and am delighted that Pensioners have a good discount on all dishes. Check it out. You will not be disappointed.
This is one of the best country pubs in the area. The staff are really friendly and so are the patrons. The landlord keeps his real ale impeccably well, which is a change to the usual drab you get in other places.nnGreat atmosphere in both the front and the back rooms. As soon as we arrived the lady behind the bar was kind enough to strike up the log burner for us.nnPrices of the beer are reasonable and cheaper than other places in the area. Highly recommend to visit if you are passing.
Popped in over lunchtime, very friendly and a nice garden area to enjoy our drinks.
We had a lovely evening at The George! The owners were friendly, accommodating and incredibly helpful. We were made to feel welcome and the pub felt really community focused. What a great spot - we will be back when next in the area. Highly recommend.
