The food is good value, the staff were friendly and the service was good. There is a decent sized car park and a small children's play area with a gravel area along side for playing boules. The place is nicely decorated and welcoming.

The gate inn is a superb pub that is dog friendly. Treats available free for them. Great friendly staff always a warm welcome.

Place was lovely with helpful friendly staff. Our starters were lovely and so we're the sweets but the mains were not so good. My husband's pasta dish was overcooked and reheated...we had to send it back which we never do. We were offered to 're order but as everyone else had there's he didn't bother. It spoilt our evening and wasn't a cheap night out, which you don't mind if the food is good. We wouldn't go again....have been in the past and it was lovely. There was a function on however so perhaps they were a little outstretched in the kitchen. Very disappointing.

Enjoyed a couple of pints & a friendly quiz night with family. Obviously plenty of regulars taking part, but we soon caught on to how things worked. Food at the end was an added bonus!

Visited with a friend for a meal. The homemade pie meal was delicious and the cocktails were nice too. Great night out will be back
