Great little Pub in Greenwich. We caught a river taxi here, a short walk through the magnificent buildings of the maritime museum and here we are. Had the whitebait to start. They were large and plump, the batter was crisp and clean tastingnew oil served with bread and butter and lemon slices, this was an adequate starter for 3. The main Sunday roasts were….. huge! The beef was really great in taste and texture and wonderful with all the trimmings; Yorkshire pudding, well cooked cabbage, carrot and beans……. The gravy was terrific and the wonderful wait staff bought more on request. The pork was equally enormous and super rich, even for me. A great place, beautiful food and a traditional yard for eating in. Awesome
What a pub! This is one of those amazing pubs of the sort of which unfortunately seem to slowly be vanishing post-covid. But Greenwich is lucky to have this absolute gem! Booked for Sunday roast and were greeted by the lovely team and had a fantastic Sunday roast. We had 'Roasted Belly of Pork, Roast Chicken and Fish & Chips ' and they were all delicious and really good value for money. 100% we will be visiting again next time we're in the area. Cracking pub....thank you Plume of Feathers
Absolutely delighted with your excellent pub The Plume of Feathers. Having had inferior experiences before in Greenwich, we were so pleased with the quality of the Roast Dinner, and above all the standard of service and hospitality granted to us all by all who served us. Brilliant!
Going to "The Plume" is like seeing an old friend, small things change but essentially the best bits remain. Fortunate because I met an old friend there and we quaffed excellent Harveys bitter and lager, eating well off of their seasonally changing menu. They are still misguided in their football affilliation, but that aside it's a well kept, well run pub and worth a visit to recharge after a brisk walk in the park.Recent managers installed who love the pub and don't see the need to change anything. Held a wake there and food excellent with great service. a pub that deserves to succeed.
What a lovely Gem in Greenwich We booked a table with James who also helped us with parking. We are vegetarian and certainly the best vegetarian roast I have tasted. Sometimes they can be dry, but this has lots of flavour and just so very tasty. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Well done to James and his team. And thank you
Very nice people, warm atmosphere, delicious food... Location is just perfect..Do recommend if tou go to greenwich
The pub, the Plume of Feathers, Greenwich, has a wonderful and centuries history. It serves good beer, cocktails, and food, and it has very nice outside garden. It's quiet and is set back from the main road. Give yourself time to find it. It has easy access to Greenwich Park and the Museums. And, the landlords have a great sense of humour. There is a ittle plaque on the wall that sets the tone: "Please do not drop cigarette ends on the floor as they burn the hands and knees of customers as they leave."
A really nice little pub near the park in Greenwich. We had the Sunday roast there and it was delicious. I got the chicken and really enjoyed that it came with stuffing and cranberry sauce. The ambience of the place was very nice, we had a very pleasant experience.
Beautiful pub. One of the rare spots in that location. I love it in Autumn and Winter as they have an open fire which makes the perfect spot in cold weather. I love that it is traditional and it is being maintained as such. Food was always pleasant.
The food was just ok, but honestly these guys deserve 5 stars because the beer garden is beautiful and the staff are LOVELY! So worth a visit if you want to escape the busyness of Greenwich. I will definitely be back and I’d try the food again for sure just to enjoy that little hideaway and the lovely atmosphere
