Lovely restaurant with friendly staff and brilliant steaks! Ordered scallops to start, tasted as good as they looked. I ordered the 6oz fillet, which for me was the perfect size after ordering a starter, asked for medium-rare and it was cooked to PERFECTION. Like cutting through butter, such a delicious steak. My brother ordered the 32oz steak, which he demolished along with a rack of ribs, he loved it! 👍 Would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves a good steak! 🥩 Thank you Galleon Steak House for lovely meal to celebrate my brother’s birthday!

I have been going here for a while and up until a few weeks ago have never had a bad experience. I put the issues down to two large parties that they had in but still not really an excuse. So I ordered my steak with a side of BBQ ribs. It came with prawns on top and I am allergic to sea food so sent it back. Steak comes back within about 5 minutes and although clearly a fresh steak was completely rare below the surface. Sent it back again. Steak returns but has clearly been battered within an inch of its life as it was like a piece of frying steak and more well done than I had asked for, clearly they wanted to cook it quickly. By this point I’m starving so tuck in. The meal was okay, no great and the BBQ ribs were as tough as old boots. We raised the issues when asked by the server and the manager offered us 15% off for my meal only, this equates to about £2-3, not really a great deal considering the meal had to be sent back twice and they could have poisoned me! Luckily we had some vouchers to use so it made the whole experience bearable but wasn’t a good birthday meal.

Fantastic Chesterfield gem! Amazing staff, owners make you feel right at home. With excess of 15 types of gin and a fantastic menu, I can't imagine going anywhere else for a quality family meal. Have a steak here and you won't want to go anywhere else.

Great service. Pretty darn good steak. Unlike other reviews it wasn't cold. It might well have been where we were sitting or the stonking great slab of rock heating our very tasty chateaubriand.

Food was delicious. Cooked to individual specification. Steaks amazing. Excellent portion sizing very big. Service very good.
