Really nice place on the water to grab a drink or bite to eat. The inside areas are really spacious with big windows and lots of flowers and colour. There is outside seating which is nice in the summer and it's just off the town quay. The portion sizes are very generous, the food is wonderful, the staff are friendly and polite. There are a good selection of drinks on offer; alcoholic, non-alcoholic, soft and hot. Prices are reasonable, the toilets are nice and clean and there is also a small seating area outside the front door.
My family and I came to have lunch here, we needed a table for 6 and were told just to sit anywhere, I said there aren't any tables for 6, the lady said you'll have to put 2 together, this was a struggle due to helping my disabled Mum and 3 small kids, but managed in the end, I did think they may have offered to help, but maybe they were too busy. It was very dirty around the table, food all over the floor, which I cleaned up myself.nThere was a good selection of food and it came in good time and was pretty decent, although no one came to check in on us to ask if all ok. Beautiful views. Just a shame about the friendliness of staff and cleanliness.
Good location but it's a a shame they felt it appropriate to rip customers off with the deposits on glasses.nDon't bother drinking here during regatta as they charge a 'deposit' on plastic glasses which is not refundable, unlike everywhere else in town.nYou're basically being overcharged for no good reason, drink in the Legion next door , a much better atmosphere, you get treated with respect, and frankly it's more fun anywhere else!
Nice friendly place. There is seating inside, in the courtyard and out the front with a great view of the estuary. The place was full with just 2 seats available on bar stools. The pizza was really tasty. They have accessible toilets in the courtyard. There are rooms to let. There is a pool table near the back of the Inn. There is no onsite parking.
Clean, bright and in a lovely location on the water. A wide array of beers on draught and the food I have to say looked amazing, fresh cooker and very generous portions indeed.
