Absolutely brilliant! Such a warm welcome by the landlord, relaxed atmosphere in the bar and wonderful traditional fayre. Huge portions. Had burger and chips on a freezing cold day. Fat fat chips and tasty burger with the best salad and dressing.
Lovely pub. Friendly, welcoming staff. Good menu and reasonably priced. Had the steak and ale pie, which was fantastic, big chunks of meat. Would recommend.
Fantastic attentive staff. Great food. 2 real ales.A selection of lager , pale ale and cider on draft. Dog friendly bar area.
A lovely country pub and restaurant. Staff are very friendly and attentive, the food is lovely, waiting time was reasonable. Next we are going to visit when the weather is nice and can sit outside.
Held my 70th birthday here today the pub staff were absolutely brilliant, the food excellent and a great day all round by had by nearly 70 guests. Nothing was too much trouble despite numbers changing in 24 hours before the event, necessitating changing seating arrangements at short notice Huge thanks to all staff and management
Food is pretty good, some dishes on the menu are better than others. Lasagne top notch and the starters really tasty. However, found the beef in the roast, over done and the chicken in the burger, dry. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff but unfortunately a complete rip off for non alcoholic drinks. £3.90 for a large lime and soda, so you can be penalised for drinking non-alcoholic drinks, especially when the two of us naively ordered 4 between us. Absolute joke. Real shame, left a sour taste,
Lovely country pub, cosy atmosphere, great ales and delicious lunches & dinners
Lovely rooms, good food and ale. Staff friendly and cheerful, even had a lovely signing outside my room most of the evening
Decent pub with a good range of food. One of the best no-nonsense classic burgers I've had in a long time!
Super place and lovely team. I think the bedroom, fine for one, is one the small size, but then I am rather big!Rooms: 4/5
