"The Craven is a family run traditional cosy country pub offering delicious home cooked food using local suppliers. With a huge outdoor garden including children's outdoor play area. We have a large outdoor tipi which can host weddings, corporate and family parties. In Winter the tipi is enclosed and fully heated with a covered walkway to the pub. Sunday Roasts are served 12 noon until 5.30pm every Sunday alongside our full menu. We are open daily for lunch and dinner from Monday to Thursday and serve food all day Friday and Saturday. Offering Wadworth ales, a selection of ciders and lagers as well as a large gin offering. A warm welcome always awaits! We are only 5 miles from Newbury racecourse and have a large car park at the rear."

Lovey pub food, atmosphere & friendly staff. Will certainly return when we are next down south. We sat outside in the tipi, great service & tasty food. Beer was too!
Great pub, really friendly and professional welcome, lovely prompt service , and the food was brilliant. Third visit July 2022 very pleased to add this pub is just as great lovely pit stop
Great food. Nice range of vegetarian dishes. Great to eat in the tipi. Will be back soon.
We were a large party for Sunday lunch and service was great. Menu is lovely several roast options and outside play area for kids. Dog friendly and staff even brought a water bowl for them.
This is a nice friendly pub. We were made to feel very welcome and the food was delicious. Recommended.
Great outdoor space with quality food, but limited ales. I visited a Friday evening, the outdoor are was fairly quiet. There is a lovely outdoor but sheltered tipi, which looks like it would be so cosy in winter. The food was good quality, the burgers can be recommended beef burger was served pink. The servers were welcoming and attentive. The beer options are limited if you're an ale drinker. Only 2 ales but 1 of them a amber IPA. The location is somewhat remote but don't let that put you off, unless you're not so keen on country roads! Toilets were clean.
Very friendly on a Thursday night. The food was good pub grub, nothing fancy. The steak and ale pie was nice and meaty. It's also lovely to go to in the summer.
Food wasn't as good as we have previously experienced here. I ordered a steak burger. The chips were overdone, and the whole meal was only warm, not hot. We have visited several times and unfortunately didn't enjoy this occasion half as much as previously.
Lovely little pub with fantastic outdoor seating. Playground for the kiddos and dog friendly. Black pudding starter is divine and the Randang was delicious.
I am currently sat with my husband having the most wonderful evening together for along time. Taking photos constantly & will post them. We are under cover in the most wonderful tent... it has heating. Has lots of seating. Has an heated pit with lite fire. We are warm and cosy. Already had one bottle of wine and had starter & main course. Just ordered another bottle of wine and dessert. Food is exquisite. Gentleman server is very friendly. Loving my evening... Cant believe it - asked the gentleman to choose make a liquor coffee... . He made me an outstanding liquor coffee with Tia Maria Outstanding evening...... You must visit!!!
