Had the most memorable dinner, bed and breakfast in this beautiful country pub together with our dog. Everything was perfect with beautiful rooms set in immaculate gardens. Ours was dog friendly with a tiled floor and he was welcome throughout the property. The most comfortable, huge bed ever! We have previously visited for lunch so already knew the food was exceptional with great wines to match. Simon recommended a 20 minute walk for the dog in the morning starting at a public footpath in the garden. Ideal before a delicious leisurely breakfast and unfortunately quick return to work. All the staff were friendly, helpful and charming and we will certainly be back
Nothing was too much trouble to ensure our comfort. The staff were charming and thoughtful. The dogs were welcomed. The environment; very pleasant and the food was lovely... beautiful fresh ingredients. Thank you. Unsurprisingly you will need to book ahead to ensure you get a table. A charming oasis
Having driven past the Wellington arms, we thought it looked so welcoming, so paid a visit. We weren't disappointed, from the moment we arrived, we felt the friendliness being greeted and taken to our table. It was so clean and tidy, everything looked amazing. The menu gave a wide choice with a lot of home grown and local produce. When the food arrived we were blown away, some of the best we've eaten, tasty and well cooked but above all a good size portion. Prices were reasonable for the standard of everything. We will definitely be booking again. One last thing, could you also let the gardener know that the garden looks amazing, I'm so envious of your slug free hostas. Thank you very much Jason, Simon and all your very friendly team
Beautiful setting and venue inside and out. Great variety in menu choice. Recommend the soufflé for start. I had the last steak which tasted great it was a shame it had a big line of fat through the middle, especially as it was £32. The staff were super friendly and matched the wine with the food. They weren’t 100% knowledgeable about the menu and where the food came from as advertised. The treacle tart desert was so good with ice cream. The 12.5% service charge was a bit sneaky as we would of given a tip anyway but it wasn’t appreciated that as an assumption we would give one. I would recommend a visit to The Wellington Arms and I would go back.
This is a very good pub with excellent and interesting food, some of which you would not easily find elsewhere. We enjoyed our lunch very much. It is quite expensive but worth it for a special occasion. We were fortunate to be able to eat in the garden which is pretty and the source of some of their salads and vegetables.
The Wellington Arms is one of my wife and I's favourite places to eat and celebrate. We recently had a delicious meal for our first wedding anniversary and new baby's first outing. We love all the garden to table meals and always leave with some of their produce to take back with us.
An absolute gem of a place. We had the most amazing dinner with friends here tonight. I had the gnocchi and then lemon sole. Highly recommended place to eat Food: 5/5
Back for dinner for the first time in literally years but the standards are as high as ever. Beautiful cod, featherweight soufflé, and buttery soft steak as well as an amazing pork chop. All served by really friendly and attentive staff and all-in-all pretty good value by 2022 standards Lovely brownie and great espresso - can't wait to go back for dinner

We had a fabulous lunch here yesterday and would highly recommend to others. The food was superb we had the scallops and the gnocchi and the service and the staff were brilliant. Such a beautiful location too. Thank you and hope to be back again soon.
