Beautiful cottage/ pub with a cosy garden, where we had dinner our last night in Hungerford. Very good food and very friendly people. The dag before we were too late for lunch, and the helpful owner found us an other address to have lunch.
Went for very first time. A wedding reception was being held there. It was busy when we arrived in evening. Staff were friendly. Food was Wonderful. Would definitely visit again.
Family lunch for my 85th birthday, I wouldn't have gone anywhere else. Friendly efficient unhurried service. Excellent food. They could not do enough for us. They made my day; as usual. Great place and people. Even the dog enjoyed the fuss made of her. Thanks.
First time going in a few years, decent value and foods all very tasty.
We visited yesterday without advance booking and was gratefully accommodated in a perfect spot in the bar area with our pooch. Rare roast beef for all 3 of us, veg plentiful enjoyed by us all. The best roast I've had out in a while. Thank you. We haven't been to you for a while and we'll be back again soon.
A wonderful get together with close friends. We had drinks outside and then ate in the bar. Wonderful service, friendly staff, nothing too much trouble and absolutely stunning food. The lamb shank cooked to perfection and the halibut chosen by my wife and two friends… mouth watering. COVID adhérence . Top recommendation…. Back again next week for lunch and a canal walk. PS Wonderful lunch this week
Went out for a Sunday walk with a friend and we crossed by this pub and we said to give a try and we were right the place is amazing and the food is really good. We had few drinks and home made burger that was yummy. I would go back again btw the staff is really kind and hard working. Cheers to them
We had a small wedding lunch there and found Jon very helpful and keen to make sure we had everything we wanted on the day. We had use of their separate dining room, our guests went home full, happy and impressed with the food so not much more we could ask for!
A great little gem in Berkshire. Lovey and attentive staff. Beautiful interior and ait of sitting space. Food is immaculate. Quality ingredients and superbly presented. We ate set menu and it was magnificent. Would recommend to anyone who is around to go and visit.
Fabulous country pub, returned after 4 years to another great meal and value, within walking distance of the canal. Great to see an atmosphere given current events with the virus. Very nice landlord, and great service, and couldn't hinder them on anything. Good variety of mains and pub classic puddings.
