Very dog friendly restaurant. Perfect place to go with dogs. There is a few table for guests with dog which is absolutely enough. Food was delicious, staff are very friendly, nice decoration in the restaurant. Definitely we’re coming back.
Nicely spaced out tables with friendly table service and a good atmosphere. Excellent grilled meals freshly produced. Kids menu which included a very tasty mac and cheese. Craft beer available which is brewed on the premises.
The food was nice. The staff were great! The food... it wasn’t smoked, or the wood had long been burnt and gone. As a long time smoke bbq eater, I’ve been around the world. I’ve smoked hundreds of my own ribs and briskets, not to mention wings. This food was nice, but it was more oven cooked. I asked the waitress how long the spare ribs were smoked, she checked and told me 6 to 7 hours. I smoke my St Louis style ribs for around that amount of time and they taste smoked. These tasted like they were oven cooked at most. I’d give this place another go, the Franks hot sauce wings were nice, you can’t go wrong with Franks though! Halloumi fries was good too!
Fantastic food once again, never fails. Best southern fried chicken for miles around, bbq ribs just fell off the bone
Fantastic place to go, little bit out of town - but literally a 5 minute walk. Really friendly staff and good range of beers - all the food is homemade or that's what they told us. reminds me a bit of the Philharmonic in Liverpool for some reason - which is high praise in my eyes. Well worth a visit!
Good food, big portions and friendly staff
It was my first time eating here but we all thoroughly enjoyed it! Steak was cooked perfectly and the chips where so tastey! Our waitress Holly had A* hospitality skills which made us feel very welcome, she was on the ball when it came to the ordering both the food and drinks. My only issue was there wasn't a drinks menu which is pretty handy if you don't know the pub very well. Next time I am in Bridlington I will deffinatly be dropping in for some food
Had an early saturday evening 5pm meal. Place was empty so the service was excellent. All the food, burgers and chicken burgers very tasty and reasonably priced. Would recommend.
Had a lovely home cooked meal there with the family and our dog. Great beer. Excellent service in a lovely rustic building. Food was also excellent and there were 2 sausages for Patch the cockapoo! The dog area is a specific area and not the whole of the pub so I recommend booking in advance.I can thoroughly recommend The Funny Onion to anyone visiting Bridlington and looking for somewhere to eat and is dog friendly.
Fantastic food beautifully cooked, excellent service and warm friendly staff, would highly recommend the funny onion to anyone, we will definatley be going back there again excellent value for money.
