Glad we booked as the place was pretty busy. Reasonably good choice on the menu at average prices. Staff were friendly and food arrived within an expected time frame. Food was tasty and well cooked though the well done steak was more medium than well done - charred on the outside, some pink on the inside. Overall, the meal was acceptable and we would visit for a meal again if in the area. Parking: Parking is available in a large car park at the front and side of the pub.
Hostess told us 20 minutes wait for a table.....5 minutes later we were seated . We used a dinning out card bought as a gift for us at the bar with ease. The food was presented superbly. It was piping hot and Big T and I tucked into ribs , and a mixed grill. The coleslaw was a bit cheap and nasty but apart from that the whole meal was totally perfect. The best thing about the friendly forester was the service.
Good service, efficient staff. Lovely meal on a busy evening. I had the Carribbean style jerk chicken skewers which were lovely but could have done with more jerk seasoning, it's very mild but the meal was cooked and presented well. The hunters chicken could have done with more barbecue sauce, but again was cooked well. My husband's burger tasted great but could have been presented better. Only minor criticisms, which I hope they'll take on board, overall lovely food, will return.
With a family of four and one infant we turned up on the off chance of a space. We were escorted straight to a table, the menu choice was good, we opted for two jerk chicken sizzlers and two Lasagne meals one vegetarian and a kids meal. The food arrived in around 20 minutes and all four dishes were beautifully done, very tasty and brought out by a friendly and pleasant waitress. We had a gift card to use, there were no issues in using it. Prices were good, the place was clean and tidy, the tables were cleared and cleaned down swiftly. An easy five stars from us and if we ever visit Bridlington again we’ll definitely be calling in here.
Absolutely fab pub. Used to cone here as a kid and revisited some 30 years later, was not disappointed. Tge staff are all attentive and fantastic customer service, a good range of food and it was delicious. Will definitely return. Mote than your average chain pub simply because the team there go above and beyond.
Disabled parking bays, no drop kerbs. Disabled toilet included only baby change, bins placed in wheelchair transfer space. Steak cooked perfectly rare, but sinewy and chewy.
Pre booked on Monday for a family of 5 3kids. Food was very nice and staff equally pleasant. Food took around 45min to arrive from the table app order. Only small critique was my wife's steak was well done not medium rare as requested but still lovely so didn't raise issue. Toilet paper dispenser in the men's cubicle was partially off the wall and a leak from one of the urinals on floor but.was sectioned off. Allow dogs in too which is great. Would come back.
Excellent service, nice atmosphere, fantastic food. Decent price. Very very goodFood: 5/5
I was a walk in with my 10 year old son. We were sat at table 15 which was more of a drinks table than a dining table due to the height. Ordered food at the bar quickly and easily. The restaurant had no rice, so my meal was substituted with Chips - which suited me as I prefer chips to rice. My son had the 8oz rump cooked medium rare. This was served as requested. However the steak had fat running through the middle and along one of the edges. Thereby once the fat is removed there was less than 50% of edible meat. This is the same every time a steak is served to us. Which is a shame as the meat tasted good! The FF has been renovated and the decor is excellent. The updated outdoor seating area looks good - just need the warm weather now. Kid-friendliness: Cheap menu for young children, with all of their favourites on. Parking: Plenty of parking spots.
They were able to fit our large party of 10 people in, last minute when another pub last us down. The staff were fantastic and the atmosphere really good. Unfortunately the peas tasted burnt and some of the serving skillets have a burnt flavour to the food. They were very busy though so I suspect this wouldn't usually be the case. Parking was good with disabled bays right outside, everything was on one level so pretty accessible. They had vegetarian and vegan options and we're friendly with the children in our party.
