Stayed here on Christmas Eve to see the family, great value considering the price paid. Great easily accessible location with a huge car park. Rooms are exactly what was expected. Large, spacious, clean & modern & lift access to the second floor rooms. Pub just across the car park for on site drinks & food, looked nice, good vibe, didn't get an opportunity to try the breakfast due to the time of year. I will definitely be staying again.
The service was fantastic from all staff who served us. One member of staff in particular went above and beyond, recommending Whiskeys to my husband and even brought us ice cream to try after speaking with us about the gingerbread ice cream. I do not know his name, but he is tall and slim with dark hair, and was wearing a white tshirt and jeans. The food was delicious, and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was cosy and relaxed. An all round positive experience.
Walked into the beer garden & it was really obvious they were short staffed as every table had glasses & plates on them, inside the young girl on the till doing drinks was on her own, she was still very pleasant & helpful even though she was under pressure. The service was very good & all were friendly. The food was very good, we all had something different & everyone enjoyed there food. All in all very nice & we would go back.
We have been coming here for years now. It has lovely outside seating areas with some under cover and a lovely fire place area too. They also have dog friendly seating inside. Unfortunately our most recent visit bank holiday weekend the food wasn't quite as good as usual but we still finished it all. The service was initially good with getting seated to taking our drinks orders and coming back for our food order but then we asked for a starter of halloumi fries which came with the mains. We would still go again hoping the food quality is better. Also is handy with the hotel on site and being so close to Bridlington.
Good experience easy check in with haapy chap checking us in. restaurant was packed as was Bank holiday weekend and had sign up saying fully booked for food.. We had just traveled up from Essex a 5hour drive.. Staff shortage and a chef down the front of house still managed to squeeze me and my 2 work m8s in for a delicious meal. smile on face though rushed off there feet good staff good food and a good pint.. 5* keep up the good work
We were staying in the hotel which was great and had drinks at 7-7.30 on Saturday night prior to going to a family party. We slept really well and liked the room. The reason I have put 3 stars is that while we all enjoyed our breakfast we had to wait 50 minutes for it to come out. Nothing against the staff on duty, all I can think is there wasn’t enough staff
Greeted by a very pleasant gent called Jay and shown to a table. Instantly felt welcomed and at ease, we both enjoyed our food in a warm and clean environment. We found Jays service to be excellent which you don’t often find anymore in many eating establishments, he was friendly with a bit of chit chat and obviously enjoyed his job. We would come back again based on our experience tonight.
Great service from the team, food average for a pub. No issues as we enjoyed our meals. Short vegan, Veg and low Cal Safe place to eat, toilets could be better cleaned although it could be just our timing. Would visit again.Service: 5/5
Just getting better and better. What great improvement since John's taken over. Came yesterday for food which was cooked to perfection, service was excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive. We're back in the area March will definitely be back.Service: 5/5
The food was good even though I didn't quite get what I ordered. Chicken and mushroom pie turned out to be leek and potato. When I mentioned this I was advised that it was actually a chicken and mushroom pie but they couldn't explain why it had no chicken or mushroom in it. Well, that was easy. It was because it was leek and potato. The pie was actually very good and i wasn't charged for my meal at all which was above and beyond what I expected. Had there not been the silly insinuation that I couldn't tell what I was eating I would have been happy to provide a rate of four or even five. Given that I was effectively told I was a muppet three is very generous!
