I opted for the lunch special as I wanted a light lunch. The beetroot salad was delicious, and the pork belly had good crackling and excellent flavor. I was curious about their famous Bacon Scones so I ordered one and it did not disappoint, tho I wish the bacon bits were crispier. Nice place for lunch with friendly service.Food: 5/5
Nice dining experience as the food is full of flavour. We’ve been to Frenchie twice and it’s always been a pleasant visit, the service is professional and they have a great selection of wines. The menu is changing a little with the season, for example the foie gras has every season a different twist. The second time we’ve been there I found everything a bit too sweet, but that might have been just me.. I would come again!
I’m a big fan of the original Paris Frenchie and loved this relaxed fine dining sister restaurant in Covent Garden. The wine list and sommelier were amazing, the food incredible and a really lovely atmosphere all-round. Staff were excellent. If you’re looking for something special for a date night or dinner, it’s a great choice.
Lovely place with great food. Even though the location is so touristic, this restaurant is definitely tranquil. The architectural design is quite good and the acoustics is very well. The music was ok, but the volume might have been very little up. The design & architecture is subtle and comforting. The stuff were not very attentive and smiling but may be its a french tradition. We have been served good though. We ordered tasting menu which was very delicious however we were confused by the three course of deserts. Note the tasting menu has foie gras which you can and should change
Subtle creative delicious. A truly great restaurant. Not stuffy. And an interesting wine list, ask for tips on which wine me. Vegetarian options were tasty
The bacon scone was the highlight of the meal. The salad was good. The fish had its skin burnt on the grill, so the only thing I could taste was burnt skin, and the fish had salty parts. Courgettes were cooked well. The portions are tiny, so if you are hungry, a burger elsewhere might be needed after. I ended up ordering a plum tart for dessert. The tart is ok, but would benefit from some cream or sauce. The plum... A few pieces of a plum put on top of the tart. They were not baked together. The staff is nice and caring.
Went for their 3 course meal, with additional appetisers, and everything had a WOW factor!! Our waitress full described and helped us appreciate each ingredient of our meals, and we dined in a warm ambience. There was a slight hiccup with our fillet which was very unfortunate, however, we overlooked it through our exceptional experience.
Been wanting to come here for a while & did not disappoint. Reasonably priced set menu, just wish I’d had time at lunch to have dessert - next time! Very enjoyable & tasty dishes and decent service.
Excellent service and food. We did the set menu prior to a show - check the website - and it was done perfectly with the same level of detail for any other standard dinner.
2hours & 20mins to complete a service for tasting menu 6 courses was quite appalling and shameful for the price £200 for 2 for food. Had to get the last 2 courses desserts served together after 2 hours and really didn't want to stay anymore. To offer a fair review, The good: Nibbles & Banoffee dessert. The girl who attended to us was lovely and polite. We stayed because of her service. The bad: Taste of the ingredients were not well curated and did not go well together as a dish. The carrots that came with the 'Middle white pork' was salty beyond description lol it was painful to eat even with the pork. In conclusion, painful 2 hours of going from hungry to hungrier and full from waiting and then hungry from waiting again. Huge disappointment.
