We were initially drawn into the restaurant by the sounds of oriental music filling the street outdoors. It was impossible to resist the lively ambiance, and we were quickly seated at the chef's table. Watching the staff work their culinary magic with playful and cheeky dynamics was really entertaining to witness. The cuisine, a modern take on Middle-Eastern dishes, featured an abundance of rich flavours that left us feeling thoroughly satisfied. Alongside the delectable food, we also enjoyed some masterful cocktails. Overall, our experience was thoroughly enjoyable and we would highly recommend this restaurant.
One of the best meals I’ve had in London. Literally every single thing had so much flavour, was so fresh and creative. Staff were all so friendly and explain each dish presented. Two out of three of us were veggie and there were loads of options for them also. Amazing wine and vibes Vegetarian options: Basically all bread and many small dishes were veggie.
Just enjoyed a really lovely evening at the Coal Office. I personally found too much salt, lemon and garlic in many of the dishes but that's personal choice. The staff are very attentive and help, the food is well presented, not a huge menu thank god so we were able to make really good choices. Breads are to die for. Will definitely be going back but I might say I'm allergic to salt and lemon...
I don’t think there’s one dish on the menu that is not absolutely delicious. We’ve been 3 times now and tried most of it. It’s insane, usually I’d recommend some dishes but here no matter what you get you can’t go wrong. Also, their welcome drinks are really really good. And their staff is very fun, polite and attentive. Ah there’s one thing! The upper floor is stunning in the evening light so try to book there if you can.
Picked various dishes from the a la carte menu. Food was well presented, tasted lovely with all the flavours and was a good portion size. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend coming to this restaurant to try the food and have a enjoyable experience.
Decent spot for Israeli food. The brioche was super soft and very delicious, as was the courgette salad and ox cheek. The service wasn’t the best though especially our server who was a bit standoff-ish. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience… probably one of the better restaurants food quality wise in the area
Great experience with delicious food. Everything baked on high temperature ovens or on coal-grill, which makes everything extra tasty. The environment too as the Israelian vibes with loud music and if sitting at the chef counter be prepared to engage with them, we had shots with half of the kitchen guys working that shift. Ideal for a fun night with great food.
We had an event yesterday, a business dinner. I had been to Coal Office before and I knew the service, the cuisine and the place itself are worth going. But yesterday they even exceeded my already high expectations, going way beyond: from the start Becca helped me organising the dinner to the tiniest detail, promptly responding to my email and texts and finding the best solution and the allocating us to the best area of the restaurant under the arches!!! Then Tanya.. Tanya is so knowledgeable, so dedicated, managing the service all evening and entertaining our guests explaining every single dish in detail, in such a passionate way that my guests were naturally drawn to listening attentively. Then Carlos, the bar manager, always helpful and always present. And thank you to the 2 amazing girls who served us all night, Rita and the girl from Aberdeen whose name unfortunately I cannot remember sorry : To chef Dan Pelles for his incredible food as always : and to the whole staff for this incredible night! Will see you soon for our future events!
Very good selection of interesting foods and high quality ingredients. The tahini is high quality. Great levels of taste and texture thought the meal. Star dish is the bone marrow. Issue: Only issue is the large dishes were not served hot. A shame because both dishes suffered from it; the octopus was cooked brilliantly but the crumpet turned claggey and the eggs overcooked in the skillet when waiting to be served to the table. I suspect this is due to timing issue and an overcrowded table. Tasty but expecting hot food for the price. Price: £44 per person for 3; 2 breads, 2 in between, 2 large plates and one round of drinks. Facilities: male, female and persons who identify other. Accessibility: Lift Wheelchair accessibility: There is a lift. Did not see an adapted toilet. Dietary restrictions: They ask for allergies
Wooooowww!! This restaurant is delicious!! The flavours are amazing. The brioche bread to start is really good, then the aubergine dish and the yellowtail sashimi have a wonderful set of flavours. Then the lamb is really good and tender. Everything tasted so good. Would definitely recommend!
